I have a new F150 Lightning and neither the dealer nor Ford chat was any help on these questions. Answers are not on Ford blog and I think posting them would be useful for others .

I’ve learned most of what I need to know but can’t find some answers in the manual nor on line.
  1. How to get charging stations to show up on sync map screen????
    1. Gas stations show up. Don’t need that!
    2. If I put in NY as a destination they do show up.
    3. But if I just want to find a local DC charger to top off charge, HOW DO I GET THAT ON THE SCREEN?
  2. On My wife Mustang EV, the manual dial works for BOTH volume and heater fan speed. Mine only for volume?
  3. Again on hers, icons can be added to the top of the screen for faster access.
    1. I’d like to add an icon for “camera” on top of main screen.
  4. I can “speak” change cabin temperature. Would like to be able to “speak” change fan speed etc. that doesn’t work???

What model of Lightning do you have? Sounds like you have connectivity (dealer) issues, if you have a new truck with a 15" portrait screen and still have the old software interface.

By any chance, did you turn off some privacy settings? That could also block charger locations updating in the nav. Best advice to find working chargers is to use the app Plugshare.

You're still missing a few Power Ups to bring the missing features, hopefully they come in time through OTA

1. How to get charging stations to show up on sync map screen????
You have a 2022 Lariat with the large screen. If the software is up-to-date, this is a setting in navigation. Bring up navigation (touch Home at the top left, then Navigation), and then touch the Toolbox (bottom left of the map screen). With the toolbox open, touch Settings (next to the Toolbox icon), then Map and Vehicle, Map Layers, and Select Points of Interest. This will bring up a list of checkboxes for restaurants, shopping, auto services, community services, fuel stations, and chargers. Check and uncheck these boxes as you prefer -- to show chargers but not gas stations, uncheck fuel stations and check chargers. Click OK and back out of the menu.

Once this is done, chargers should show as blue batter-and-plug icons on the map.

NOTE that the map doesn't differentiate between (slow) public Level 2 chargers and (fast) DC chargers. If you touch the charger icon, it will tell you the name of the charger and offer to navigate you there. Often the name is a clue (e.g., Electrify America will be fast chargers).

Overall your best tool to find charging is the PlugShare application or website.

2. On My wife Mustang EV, the manual dial works for BOTH volume and heater fan speed. Mine only for volume?
It should work for both -- if you touch environmental icons on the screen, it should sift to controlling environment settings. Otherwise it should control volume.. If it doesn't your on-board software is NOT up to date.

3. Again on hers, icons can be added to the top of the screen for faster access. I’d like to add an icon for “camera” on top of main screen.
As far as I know you can't add icons to the top of the screen (it would be nice of you could). However, with the most recent software the row of round icons at the top of the screen should be Home, Settings, and Camera. If you have CarPlay or Android Auto configured, there should be a round icon for that at the top, too. Again if you don't see this, your software isn't up to date.

At the bottom of the screen are square tiles for the applications that are currently running, in roughly the order you last accessed them. Touch one of these tiles to call up that application (for example, on my truck I keep navigation up on the screen, so the radio is a tile at the bottom).

For your fourth question, I don't know -- I haven't used voice commands in the truck.

Thank you for the detailed answer! Very helpful.

didn’t work for me. I did select charging stations, but they did not show up on the navigation screen.
