Remote start/ climate control not working

Hello all. Just bought a new Flash a few weeks ago. For the first week I could use the climate starter on my phone to preheat the interior, It worked great but now is not working. I may have accidently swiped something that I shouldn't have and screwed it up, but for the life of me I can't get it to work again...any hints? Thanks

The modem in the truck may have locked up and you'll need to reset it by pulling the fuse for it or unplugging the modem itself behind the passenger back seat. See if you can get other functions to work from remote like changing the target charge or lock/unlock.

You can also pull the negative 12v battery cable, just make sure that the truck isn't trying to do an update of any sort.

That's a lot of work to setup everything again and if the modem is hung, I doubt it will fix it.

FordPass has caused issues for many this past week. I would do nothing, just wait.

You could try testing it in blue tooth range, that may help decipher if it's Ford's cloud creating the block. (which I think is very likely)

At least I think it works like that (uses BT when in range, else magic bunnies).

Agree with Rick. I was helping a member trouble-shooting HSW remote start and I couldn't get mine to work at all last week. But it worked fine last night.

Make sure it is enabled in Settings..Vehicle

Starting this AM, my FordPass app is frozen on my battery percentage from last night, and states “waiting to charge Monday at 11pm.” Obviously it’s Tuesday and my truck charged last night.

I’ve tried killing the app, restarting my phone and it wont change. Also, my remote start isn’t working and it timing out. Just sharing in case it’s a larger issue.

It would be interesting to know, if, when a few forum members are posting here that FordPass is not working, is it really not working for everyone? Maybe that's why Ford has not yet designed a link: https://status.fordpass.com since everyone is NOT down. Maybe they are just fixing Android or IOS versions? I've also posted that hopefull link elsewhere in another thread in hopes the Ford folks that attend these threads can try to make it happen.

FYI, plugged in to charge last night and at some point in the middle of the night my app finally refreshed the status of my truck and all is working again.

Seems like somewhere along the line of data (truck to server, server to phone) there was something failing that is now fixed.
