My house is set up to use a portable generator to feed an "emergency" panel with essential circuits. I could use that 240V outlet in the bed to power my house through the existing system. My generator is only 5kW and does the job fine. The 9.7 kW from the truck would do it better.

Pretty sure the mobile charger plug is a 14-50. Would be nice if Ford offers various adapters like Tesla. But you can always make your own or buy one.

Doesn't really matter, adapters are cheap:
Actually it totally does. You need a 40A circuit for the 32A Mobile charger. Plugging 32A device into 30A circuit is "contraindicated".

They were referring to the Pins, not the amperage.

It should still charge at the lower rate.

I think you said:

And if the EVSE is set to pull 32A, no you can't. So to make that work, you would need to purchase a 24A EVSE.
You are correct that continuously pulling 32A through a 30A outlet is overloading it and may damage equipment or cause vehicle overcurrent protection to prevent from working at all.

However, the AC charge rate might be programmable by the vehicle. If available and if incremental, it would be good for Ford to have a 7.2kW selection for this very scenario.

I agree. It would be nice if you could control the charge rate. I just don't think Lightning has that capability.

My response of it not mattering was in regards to the L14-30 pins, nothing about the amperage.
I think the whole point of having a 14-30 outlet, is to tell you that it is limited to 30A, and you shouldn't plug in 32A devices into it.

So can SR trucks have an option for the Charge Station Pro and thus Intelligent Backup Power or is that limited to only ER?

The technical specs are confusing. The SR has OBC (input/output) 11.3kW/10.5kW. I would think the output is the Backup Power part of the equation, but then on the marketing sheet explaining the difference between onboard vs backup power, has the backup power delivery at 9.6kW. Why would they have an output rating for the SR if it can't provide backup power? If it can provide backup power, why would the Ford Smart Charging and Connectivity marketing sheet say SR comes with 32amp charger and available 48amp connected charge station without mentioning the 80amp charge station pro available? The charge station pro is a separate sentence where it mentions it being included with the ER, but no mention of availability for the SR's. Thoroughly confusing.
At the DC Lightning event this week they confirmed backup power is available in SR too.

How does 80% rule applied to 30A outlets? For example, 80A charger will require 100A breaker, 48A chargers require 60A breakers. Does that mean 30A breakers should only be loaded at 24A max continuously?

In order to do this I assume you also need to get the 80a Charge Station Pro. The SR has no actual charging advantage with the 80a over the 48a Charge Station. According to the spec sheet they both charge the SR in 10 hours.
