Checking to see if this happened to anyone else - I honked at someone a week ago and my horn stopped working (literally honked then no sound then no sound when pressing or locking)

today after the truck sat for 4 days without driving, the horn started working again.

any ideas?

Hmmm, I've had my truck 45 days and have yet to have any need to honk the horn. Only time it has sounded is if I hit the lock button too many times.

Maybe a bad clock spring? Try honking the horn while rotating the steering wheel from lock to lock. Maybe do this in an unpopulated area.

Completely stopped working?

If everything else on your steering wheel is still working it's probably not the clock spring. In the olden days of cars if something was intermittent it meant a bad ground. In these modern times it probably just means a bad part. I'm saying a new horn fixes it.

Probably not the issue, but check the fusebox in the frunk and make sure the horn fuse is not loose.

When I got my lightning, the fuse was removed by the dealer for some reason and taped to the fuse box. Added it back in and has worked fine since.

I'll check this out… small update that I think it's likely water related?

With no rain/dry weather for a few days (and warmer), the horn is back to functional (my neighbors loved it)
