Really deep, like five feet. All the electrical connections should be waterproof. It’s really heavy and 4wd. Just give it a try and see what happens! The 100 yr flood ravaged South West BC the pass 2 days and flooded lots of roads. I was wondering how deep can a lightning truck go without short circuiting it.
Any ideas?
Seems consistent with sundancer. A little low for my liking but what can u do. I mean just don't go thru >2ft deep flooded road/trail. I guess ev motor don't like water much. I wish ford has immersible electric motor like those pumps used for sewage. These immersible pumps can run either on air or underwater, deep enough above human height. Would have been perfect for lightning that can cross waist High rivers. Dream on! LOLI actually asked this question during the Houston Lightning invite ( Houston floods consistently). The Ford rep said 20 inches, or how I remembered it, almost 2ft.
I live in the desert too, but when it rains we get flash floods. After every major storm, local news features some idiot that decided to cross a wash and got stock, and needs rescuing.I'm so glad I live in the desert where we don't get much rainfall.
The occasional trips to fish the rivers - 4WD is a welcome feature.
I can leave the Lightning stock without having to do a lift, level, upgrade to 35" tires, etc...
or 88 MPH and go back in time to before the water was there or forward in time to after the water being there.Just drive above 60mph and skim over the surface.
