If we could just get Jim Farley to follow up on this comment. I floored my truck today and it was fast after the PAAK update . I floored my truck yesterday and it was fast before the update ;). Typing this makes me want to go out and punch it right now lol.

If you punch your truck its going to cost a bunch to repair the dents or broken glass.

you may even hurt your hand. The you will have to pay both medical and damage repair deductibles and your rates will go up.

I recommend against it,.

I tried punching it last night, but it had rained, so the wheels went fast but not the truck 😝

It would be nice if we had an options to throttle back a bit of power for more range.
More horsepower is the side effect of greater range. Both the SR and ER trucks have identical motors. The ER produces more HP as a result of the increased number of electrons available at any given instant.
perhaps a controller could be installed to restrict the instant use of too many electrons. Or maybe that controller already exists in the form of something shaped like a right foot. 😀

From Ford Authority:
Farley didn’t get specific with that particular time, though we imagine that the extended range battery-equipped 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is likely in the high 3.9-second range. That particular variant also wound up generating more power than originally targeted, and officially pumps out 580 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, while models equipped with the standard range battery get 452 horsepower and the same 775 pound-feet of torque, which his good enough to propel it to 60 in just 4.1 seconds.

I can't wait to own a 4.1 second vehicle for under $60k ! (Today is my blend day)

but wait with a 2023 Pro you have heated seats so 10 more miles per charge that means more electrons so you can blow a 2022 pro out of the water.

oppse saw you have an xlt
Yeah, a 4.1 second truck for under $40k is surreal... but I wasn't that lucky
