Gave up and try to stop caring for the OTA. It will only frustrate you more. As long as I can drive and charge the vehicle just fine Ill take that as a win.
For the most part it doesn't bother me. But I want P&C at Tesla and I want BC 1.4, so I'm more than likely going to bite the bullet and join the FDRS crowd.

Yes this is definitely constantly on my mind as well. Trying to fight the urge.

Foolishly just realized, due to my lack of updates, I will not be able to fast charge on Tesla network with my A2Z adapter.
Got an email from Ford today sharing how much they "appreciate my patience" while waiting for Ford adapter and in the meantime make sure I'm ready for plug and charge by keeping OTA's to on....I'm still at 4.2.1.1....
Any correlation between trucks being updated and Ford adapter being sent?

You can with the Tesla app. I got my A2Z a couple weeks back and do not have the Tesla update, and I was able to charge just fine on a supercharger. Just download the app and setup an account and your billing information.

Thanks! I have the Tesla app (home charger is Tesla) and will test out. Received A2Z charger yesterday.

I’m on 4.2ish as well. Is it possible to pull a fuse for a few minutes to see if that resets it. Someone was saying fuse 27 but it could be a wives tale.

Still waiting for my 6.4 update after 6.2 - nothing since 4/22?

Still on 4.2.2.2, been over a year since that update. I called the Ford OTA helpline and the guy told me he could not see any activity ever having happened on my truck (no records whatsoever) and I should get to the dealer. Dealer showed me his printout with modules being updated and could not explain why Ford did not see them. Well, that was a waste of a day.

So, I guess minor module updates just happen in the background and only major stuff gives you an alert? The idea that you need to pay for FDRS just to know what is happening is mind boggling.

I feel ya, I'm coming up on 9 months with no update and also stuck on 4.X. Waiting for an update is annoying, but far less annoying than a bad battery module. So I just remind myself of that and am happy to keep on driving.

For future reference, there are some folk here that will look up your VIN and provide you a brief report on this thread: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/pts-fdrs-vin-check-thread.18979/

Yep, and when we do get updates it’s some bogus!

“This update is to enhance future updates”

WTH?!

Garbage!

FWIW, this group has helped me with VIN lookups in the past and the folks here are awesome.

My point was more about the run around from Ford AND that this information should be readily available to ANY customer, not just those who pay for the FDRS subscription. I work in IT and in my world keeping customers informed about versions / releases / and what software they are actually running is table stakes.

Thanks!

I got the owner's manual update yesterday. Hopefully on to bigger and better updates soon!
