Got tired of having to remove Milwaukee PackOut Box every time I needed to get something out of lower storage. Removing it wasn’t too bad, but was a pain putting it back, almost always required Tool box removal

It took me a second to figure out what you did. I love the hinge idea! It can be custom made to fit any specific stationary object.

Very nice. How did you plug the drain? With the recent rain we’ve had in central California, I’ve noticed water coming up through the drain when going through deep puddles on our country roads.

Didn’t really plug it, but it is covered with a cut to fit soft foam mat, (which is about 1/4” thick) that serves as sort of a cushion for the items stored there… Also forgot to mention that I put two coats of “Herculiner” on it -available from Lowe’s…

Very useful for your situation. I have been thinking of pulling the tub and using some Thermal Bubble insulation and wrapping the outside of the small area trying to make it more of a cooler and seeing about tubing the drain to a different location to drop.

Height wise I think you could fit the standard depth organizers on top of the drawers in there.

I‘m looking at doing the same setup with packout drawers, I picked up a set from Home Depot a couple days ago. Right now I’m using a medium packout vertically against the back wall so I can also fit a couple of rifle cases stacked in front of it when needed. I can see you have the M12 inflator hiding on the left side. I have the mobile charger and a M18 inflator in the lower compartment, I had to remove the hose/accessory rack from the back to make it fit.

I’m just now switching from Rigid pro 2.0 to Milwaukee packout, a switch I resisted for a long time. The design of the drawers was what prompted the switch, Rigid’s drawers are overly tall for the usable height and their bars to lock each side are annoying. I think my favorite packout piece sofar is the deep organizer. I used one for my mobile buffing pads and product, I can fit 7” pads flat and 5” pads on end. Next favorite is the ammo can, I can fit a circular saw or track saw in one.

Any reason you did not just cut the OEM plate and hinge it. Should take less effort since it already fits and only the gap might need adjustment to install the hinge.

I would want to have the factory plate unmolested for future truck resale.

I tried the standard depth ones, but hood was hitting them when closing…

When I saw they are going for almost $400 bucks… wood was much cheaper, and Broncoaz mentioned, I too wanted to keep it as is for future use/resale…
