My brand new 2023 Lariat ER (1,250 miles) flashed this message moments after I started the truck in my driveway (where it had been sitting for over 2 hours). Clearly, the motor could not have been hot. My dealer can't replicate the problem (it persisted right after the first instance, but an hour later ran fine), and wants to keep the truck for an extended time to see if they can see it repeat. Anybody have a similar problem? Sensor? Software? Any chance it's a pump?

Might be a failing temp sensor.

Happened to me today. I looked and saw my coolant below minimum. Topped it off. No more problem

Happened to me today. I looked and saw my coolant below minimum. Topped it off. No more problem
No overheating, but the coolant level on my new Lightning was delivered from the factory at the minimum level. I had it topped off by the dealer during a visit for other warranty items.

I just had this happen to me today. It was parked for several hours in front of my house. 55 degrees and cloudy. Went to drive to grocery store and got motor coolant over temperature error message. I recall noticing that the yellow coolant reservoir had coolant at the min mark when I first picked up the truck new. I just assumed that was normal. Now I'm wondering if that played a role. Does anyone know can we just add more coolant and, if so, what type to add?

MIne has been just a hair under the low level line for months, I've had no issues or alerts concerning my trucks cooling systems, I bought a gallon jug of this at my local Advanced Auto, it's available from most retail parts store or your Ford dealer P&A department.

I think they made a typo, lines two & three have the inverter types wrong, just a guess on my part.

Standard battery, single power inverter. 15.3 qt (14.5 L)
