So what you are saying is they fixed your truck in one day and you chose to leave it there over a holiday weekend on your own volition.

You should know that going forward, the active air dam throws codes all the time. It's just very finicky. Ford sent out an update that most trucks have now where the active air dam warning no longer shows up on the instrument cluster at all

Good to know about the "Active air dam system failure issue" - Thanks!

It happened to me last night but my update said it was successful and started throwing a lot of error codes. I started a thread here before I saw yours.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you as well. Looks like there was only a handful of us that this was an issue (More like a disaster  ). Was your vehicle fixed now? How do we find what version of the update that our truck was trying to download? I want to know because I want to make sure that they actually did get this uploaded and fixed in the dealership, with the new update and not revert back to an older version of the software just so it would start.

My truck is fixed now. The cure was a 12V battery replacement. I think it originally threw a bad code because of the update (which others had confirmed happened to them and it went away with time). I likely drained the 12V trying to get the truck to clear the code by going through multiple start/stop cycles that evening and the next morning.

I don't know if there is a way to see what update version the truck is trying to download when it is unsuccessful. Someone else will have to chime in on that. MIne was 6.14.0 which a lot of people have been getting over the past week or two.

This situation happened to me a bit over a month ago. Truck bricked after a failed OTA update. It was some update for the doors and the update didn't complete. Can't remember if it was the passenger front or rear module it got stuck on.

Had it towed and they had it up and running the same day after updating the firmware or whatever they do. It didn't have any other faults like yours just bad OTA update that failed.

Ford was great. Someone from reddit forum asked for VIN, I sent it to Ford that day and they called dealership, worked it out. Was an amazing customer service experience to be honest and even though it was very annoyed it bricked I'm very impressed at how quickly they fixed it and took care of all expenses, etc. I also have a dealer who has some good EV techs so they are very familiar with fixing a lot of these issues.
So I had my truck in for a scheduled maintenance (22' Lariat) and it's now been almost a week with them at the dealership. It failed to update and is now bricked and the technician does not seem to know what to do. They are in constant contact with their ford service hotline, supposedly. The fact that they still have my truck when I dropped it off in perfect working order and there is no answer is extremely frustrating. If there are ford tech folks who still monitor this thread, please call Pierre Ford in Lynnwood and help them out... Geez...

Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago. 2023 Pro, 5000 miles. Drove it about 10 miles to my mom's house, all was fine. Went to leave 20 minutes later, truck would not shift at all. Screen has a pop up that said "Accessory Power Active". Called service center to talk to a mechanic, but they were all home for the day. Operator told me to bring it in for service, which would require a tow.

Called mY wife to pick me up. Googled for a few minutes and came across one that said to recess the shifter, turn off the truck, then wait two minutes. Voila! Truck started and ran fine. Upon getting home and turning it off, it prompted me that an urgent software update was needed. Said truck could not be driven until updated.

Forced the update from the screen, and things have been normal since
