Man that would really suck if they took those options out. Especially in cold climates.
Agreed, I wish the would at least look at prioritizing these features for cold climates vs areas that might not use them.

Heated mirrors is why I get the tow technology package

If they're pulling the heated steering wheel with no guarantee to retrofit later, then I might be canceling my order. Is it a small feature? Yes.
Nope, this is not a small feature. I will not own a vehicle without it. I have gone up in trim just to get a heated steering wheel. Itā€™s like power windows. You never knew you needed them until youā€™ve had them. (yes, showing my age)

Which is why I am saying just put the Pro Model out there with Extended Battery. Basically, you are starting to get an XLT at a Lariat price with added Pleather Seats.

So for us to go up in trims to get these desirable features is $10K, but for them to remove it is a couple hundred $? Fuzzy Ford math I guess.

Got an ominous email late last night that "Your F-150 Lightning order has been updated." Guess this was probably that change. Still shows " Manual-Folding, Power Glass with Heat,Turn Signal and Black Skull Caps Sideview Mirrors" in the config summary, though.

Funny how they try to push people to higher trims but gimp the functionality anyways.
Whatā€™s your build date? Mineā€™s 10/24 and I did not get an email.

Hasn't been scheduled for production, ordered a MY23 Pro in first wave. Email provided zero info, just says "Your order has been updated for your 2023 Ford F-150 LIGHTNING. Log in to your account to see your order details". Links to the manage reservation page, but nothing on it appears to have updated yet. Ford is a mess at communicating anything. Going to play stupid before dragging my dealer into it, they haven't asked me to sign anything yet.

Spoke to my dealer, he has not seen anything in regards to the heated steering wheel and mirrors delete. He also provided me with my VIN AND SCHEDULED PRODUCTION DATE OF 10/31

Virtually every feature is controlled by a custom microchip.
I stay amazed that people seem to think that manufacturers can just make parts magically appear. There is enough demand to just build what they can; the abandoned orders will sell quickly. They're not going to stop production.

I do think that Ford should allow reservation holders and converted orders to defer until the vehicle they ordered can be produced.

I know. I configured mine with scales/smart hitch. Iā€™m willing to waitā€¦ā€¦

Heated mirrors and steering wheel only. It seems heated seats, thankfully, are unaffected.

Having heated seats on the 2023 Pro, leaves the 2022 Pro as the model with the lowest estimated range (230mi). All other 2022 and 2023 SR models are 240mi. In reality, this only matters to people who heat their cabin. It might slightly affect the resell value of a MY23 Pro vs MY22 Pro.
So strange. Last year, whenever the weather was cold my Mach-E would suggest that I use the heated wheel and seats as the primary way to keep warm and preserve range.

Cabin heat eats range for breakfast. That heated wheel made a big difference.

Has anyone had this confirmed by their dealer for the F150L? The video and the leaked memo donā€™t seem to align, so who knows if this is applicable for the Lightning.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Ford is just sending this note to dealers further south in the US?
