Need help fighting my dealer for my original Pro pricing

This is going to be me. Dealer is refusing to honor the order sheet I signed, charging me the sticker price instead. They know they can probably sell it at a markup to someone else, so there is little incentive for them to honor what I was promised. I will probably just walk away from the whole thing.

Try and get your Ford regional rep info if you can (edit: I found my rep through a search on LinkedIn, and a member here also sent me the information for him). Once I sent him an email he got back to the dealership and everything got straightened out. I'm not sure if I really had an affect on it, or maybe I just explained my unique situation better, but everything worked right after that. Don't let them sell it if you're supposed to get it for the 22 price

Ford marketing support told me that if it was under 10k difference, Ford does not care, and all of the dealers know they have that wiggle room. Ford promised me MY22 pricing when I placed my order, but once the order is placed they said I am at the mercy of the dealer.

Does not matter now as of right now, they gave me an ultimatum and I said no. Congrats on getting your dealer to play fair.

I'm sorry man, that really sucks. Ford needs to understand that they're turning off a lot of buyers with that kind of stuff (and a lot of first time Ford buyers from what their internal numbers were showing)

The Pro at the price protected price point is absolutely worth the hassle of dealing with dealers. I wouldn't just give up.

CLARIFICATION, you are talking about the price protection, ideally it should be included in the settlement at acquisition, but some dealers are not confident and gun shy about forwarding this to you up front.

So the concern is sales tax to the state of NY on the appropriate value?

I'm not sure about NYS policy, but I recall older discussion about the situation, and that it was not unusual to be charged on the gross sales price instead of the net after rebates. Maybe another NYS member can confirm the situation....

I think I was charged tax on the amount after all the deductions, but I'd have to look at my paperwork. Based off my out the door payment though, I don't think I could have possibly been charged pre deduction. Granted, I'm in Maryland so it doesn't really help

Also has anyone had issue getting the info from their dealer in order to claim the tax credit? My dealer is against providing me that info for some reason.

Sounds like a violation of Federal tax regulations, report the issue to the Sec State & Department of taxation NY and the IRS

I'm in WNY. Bought from West Herr. It came off after taxes, so I was taxed on that 7k. But I was price protected on the $5000 MSRP increase the window sticker showed compared to when I ordered. That $5000 came off before taxes.
