I was longer than expected, and the rain came. Tried drying in the oven per other recommendations, but it still doesn't work. Now there are a lot more options available, wondering if anyone has recommendations on an adapter. This will primarily be used with a tesla wall charger. Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations. -cj-

If you need an adapter for your Tesla home charger, A2Z’s Stellar adapter is very good and priced right - $108 ($102.60 with code FORDFORUM). https://a2zevshop.com/collections/charging-adapters/products/a2z-stellar-plug?ref=Typhoon

I can't recommend A2Z enough. I've only used the Typhoon Pro at Superchargers but have the Stellar as well for those times I find myself at a Destination charger. Works flawlessly and never gets too hot to touch after a charging session. The adapter does get warm but it is to be expected given the amount of energy being transferred.

Only once has the adapter not worked and that was user error. I had thought I pushed the adapter all the way in but was just slightly off. Reinsert and good to go. If you do go with A2Z, I'd recommend getting both the Typhoon Pro and Stellar if you can afford it/need it. Otherwise, Stellar would be a good option for you.

Thanks for the recommendations! Sounds like A2Z would be a great option and not as expensive...

A2Z here also. I ordered one from them and it faulted after 5 minutes. One of the pins where teh NACS connects to the A2Z was getting VERY VERY HOT.

I called them and they sent me a replacement immediately. I offered to send the defective back so they could do a diagnosis on the failure but they declined.

In my experience, the A2Z adapter is significantly more weatherproof than the TeslaTap.

I have had a TeslaTap fail irreversibly after wet snow followed by a thaw-freeze-thaw cycle; also one of those dreadful cheap Hansshow adapters, and even one of the original, very expensive QC Charge 80A adapters with the flexible cable, all in similar conditions; but I have been through a full year now with multiple A2Z adapters and plenty of that kind of weather and they keep going without problems.
