I like it.

Stays engaged for more road. More confident in the turns.

Things I don't like:

nags more quickly

Not new, but when a car merges into my lane when the spacing is tight, BC doesn't seem to see the merging car until it is pretty much fully in the lane and then it jams on the brakes to maintain spacing. Why can't it back off a bit when it sees the car entering the lane and/or brake enough to open the gap without such hard braking?

Agreed. I expected to be underwhelmed but lane change does feel rock solid. I just did 500+ miles on Tuesday with it is definitely a nice upgrade.

It may have to do with your wireless coverage.
My window update was very quick.
The update files are fully download from the internet to the APIM or GWM before starting the update process - the update files are not live streamed from the internet to the modules. That would be way too risky for corruption. Same as on your iPhone and most tech devices - the files download fully and some prep work is done to the files (unzip/move files, etc). Then the update is done in a way it can be rolled back if it fails halfway through.

The reason many of these disparate module updates take a long time Is that the file/data must be pushed over the slow-ass CANBUS from the APIM or GWM during the update process. The window modules are not connected with high speed connectivity like ethernet or serial connections. it's a single small gauge wire for CANBUS communication

It may be that your window modules were on a more recent firmware/software so fewer files needed updating.

I have a 23 ER lariat bought June that year. Got BC 1.4 two weeks ago when parked overnight in a hotel and not on a charger and about 40% SoC. Then got the window update yesterday. It was a long time coming but glad it is finally installed!

Going on two weeks since the 1.4 download failed on my truck. The error stayed on the update screen until yesterday when it was replaced with a notice that the window update had downloaded. I hit the button to update it, turned the truck off and locked it. Came out in the morning and it had installed fine. I’ll post again if 1.4 shows up.
I know the answer is probably "it varies", but does anyone know how long it usually takes for Ford to re-try an update? Haven't seen anything since 1.4 failed on my truck the first time.
My 1.4 update failed on 3/29. No update attempts againfrom ford until 4/9 when they sent the window update. Then yesterday, two weeks after the first time they tried to send 1.4, it showed up again. This time, the download succeeded and it installed overnight with no issues.

Well color me surprised. I just installed the new ipma/pscm in fdrs last weekend and now they send it ota. Wonder what it's actually updating.

Got my update today, after returning home... and after the 30 mile highway drive I could have tested it on.

Well, I compared the before and after values in the IPMA and PSCM and found one change for 706-02-02 which appears to have re-enabled the annoying curve control after I disabled it previously. Guess I'll see if it behaves any differently before disabling again but not going to hold my breath.

To install BC 1.4, I would think the OTA needs to update the modules AND do the AsBuilt configuration to enable all BC 1.4 features. I.e., the same steps as someone doing it with FDRS and FORScan. Makes sense those values were written over.
