I know the answer is probably "it varies", but does anyone know how long it usually takes for Ford to re-try an update? Haven't seen anything since 1.4 failed on my truck the first time.

I believe when your truck is selected, the download is good for 30 days. So hopefully the server pings the truck again before the 30 days are up.

Whelp - 7 of 30 gone without a new attempt. If it does come in the next 30 days, at least it would be before my next long road trip (late May)

Thanks for the offer, I'm fine waiting, it will come at some point.

We're just getting into the motorcycling season (last freezing morning was today), if I did a long road trip I'd rather do it on the Road Glide!

Interestingly with the newest update to the Skyline infotainment operating system via flash drive, I can now do subsequent updates via the bikes wifi connection to my home network, I also can update the OEM map files through the same connection at will.
I am waiting with you this go round. For almost 3 years I've been one of the first to get SW. BC 1.4 alludes me. The only item I know of is I have not had the front sensor updates done. I also diss Ford SW a lot, so maybe they've just moved me to the back of the line.

@Scorpio3d has graciously offered to help. I'm being stubborn. Truly I know I need to visit the dealer, I want the BCM update too. I'm going to set up for front sensors and the stereo TSB. I started 3 weeks ago and then honestly, just decided I didn't want to mess with the dealer.

The other part is I'm going down the FDRS route myself. Once I get the dealer provided updates I'll buy a power supply and go down the rabbit hole.

Kind of. Once the OTA trigger is created on the server, you only have 7 days to start the vehicle so it pings the server back and accept the OTA. Once that happens, you then have 14 or 30 days for the OTA to install. 14 days if the OTA does not require the vehicle to be inhibited and 30 days if the OTA does require the vehicle to be parked while it installs.

Going on two weeks since the 1.4 download failed on my truck. The error stayed on the update screen until yesterday when it was replaced with a notice that the window update had downloaded. I hit the button to update it, turned the truck off and locked it. Came out in the morning and it had installed fine. I’ll post again if 1.4 shows up.

I got the window update today. First update since February 28. I still do not have 1.4.

What’s with 40 minutes to install a simple window update?

It may have to do with your wireless coverage.
My window update was very quick.

I don’t think it actually took that long but the pop-up on my truck window said something like 48 minutes to install it. I’ve never seen anything like that before.

It showed the same info for me. So i didn't bother staying in the car. By the time l checked back in it was done (15mins). I think Ford is just being conservative with their timing.
