Is this update for the ER only? Or would SRs also get this?
It sounds like this update started going out last year, so who's knows. Frustrating that there was not a press release from Ford. But we got one for "Karaoke", you know the important things in life lol

yeah nothing ground breaking here since a lot of us have been seeing 500 amps for some time now. Tom mentioned CSP 23B50 which was the charging cord stuck csp but sounds like they're adding it to the 10.3 OTA now?

That is my understanding.

What I'm uncertain with is short of combing through my physical service slips from the dealer how do I know if they have done this CSP to my truck? Its hard to keep track, especially since like many other people I had to bring my truck in twice just for them to get CSP 24B56 (Inoperative Front Parking Sensor). It seems to me they have done it before where there were other CSPs other than the original one that I scheduled service work for that they just took care of right away.

The other confusing thing related to this is the original 10.3 (that was my first failed update, and I have now not received any more) did not mention anything about improved DCFC charging in the notes but the re-pushed 10.3 does have notations in it stating "Increased the charging rate at DC Fast charging". It is definitely not confidence inspiring to have these kinds of gaps and inconsistencies in their communication.

Good news, but they still didn't address the prolonged 80-100% slowdown that tommolog raised the flag about the first time around. Tom suggested that 90% was a reasonable starting point for the Chinese water torture rate to kick in rather than 80%.

This video, likethe first left me asking myself, and now Y'all, "Could you game the system?"

What I mean by that is that Tom demonstrated in the previous video that you get the boost in charge rate for the first few minutes that you are charging regardless of the level when you plug in (as long as its below 80%). Could you disconnect after the drop-off and then reconnect and get the boosted rate for another 8 minutes or so and repeat as desired?

I figure someone will respond that it may not be good for the battery, I suspect this is true. My questions is COULD you do this if you REALLY needed to? (For example a herd of zombies will descend upon you before you have enough charge under the slower approach to get to the next charging station... and YES I do expect charging stations to remain functional during a zombie apocalypse!)

I haven't looked to 100% confirm I got this update BUT I am getting 500A on my 2022 SR Pro now. So I must have received it. I hit 180kW on mine a few weeks back.
Interesting. I looked back at some of screenshots of charging data and I was at 475A in April when I tested my Tesla adapter. That is with a 2022. So they may have bumped this up a few times if it truly started being capped at 450A.

No because my understanding is the charge speed is reduced after the initial burst due to battery pack temps, which would still be high when you unplug. But I do think there can be value for more frequent, quick stops to take advantage of this. After you drive a little while temps would go down before the next stop.

Post number 9 is from a trusted source that definitely connects this to 10.3.

I noticed this with my 24 that it wasn't as slow as I had read before getting the truck, or at least I thought I noticed it. I haven't had to DCFC that often, just a few road trips, and I was off doing other things like using the restroom while charging, but I did think I didn't see the big drop that I was reading/watching before the purchase. Good info.

I remember we argued discussed this back when the the 2024 Tech Specs and Order Guide came out. Many noticed the better Level 3 specs for '24.
