Just rewatched the 10% challenge from Out Of Spec last and looks like they were getting around 500 amps during the boost way back last April. Didn't show the entire charge but it peaked at 176kW v Tom's 182kW and finished with 39% (40.3kWh) after 15min v Tom's 42% (42.3kWh). 450 amps should've been in the 160's. Seems something was afoot way back and went mostly unnoticed besides the charging speed bragging threads.

Then again Branden Flasch did a 10% challenge back in Octoberish and managed to get up to 40% (~37kWh delivered) with 450 amps and maxing out at 162kW

Well for giggles I went to give it a try but think I got a goofy stall. No preconditioning since google seemed to think the station wasn't compatible but it was fairly mild today so shouldn't matter much. Looks like I was getting 500 amps (peak of 180kW) for about 5 min before the station decided to derate me and dropped to 420 amps (~150kW) for a couple minutes. Did pick back up to 180kW for about 1min before the truck dropped the requested amperage to < 400. Went from 14-43% in 15min with the Supercharger billing for 38.149kW. Battery temps started at 64 and was 86F by the time it finished.

Used Car Scanner Data recording for charts below
ChgOAR- current requested
ChgOA- current delivered
HvbSOC- state of charge
HvbMaxT- max temp of battery
Charger Power- speed

So my brother who has the truck sent me a pic of him charging at 336 amps the other day. I told him he was full of it, but it looks like its real.

One of my work colleagues diched his Rivian for a Lightning. All good signs.

Nice to see.

I was seeing peaks of 180kw during charging back in October 2023 in my old 2023 LER. I also wonder if some trucks already had this.

Has 10.3 been spotted recently? I haven’t seen anyone post about getting the update. I had a bunch of modules updated at the dealer recently but I DC charged afterwards and peaked at 450A so I’m still behind.

What network? The station needs to support the 500 amps like a Tesla Supercharger or EA 350.

It was a new Tesla V4 station (by the Bass Pro in Cary, NC). I was using CarScanner and the station was offering 500 but I stayed locked at 450 so I’m sure it was the truck. It was about 65 degrees and I was around 27% SOC so it should have been in good condition to hit the peak.

yeah earlier in the thread someone confirmed it working on a standard range so you should've been getting 500 amps assuming it had the correct updates. Any idea what modules they updated? You can check with @Mike G or @rugedraw to see if you still have any updates available. I updated all the modules on mine back in October and have been seeing 500 amps so I would think you'd have it available.

I had CSP23B50 done to our SR trucks in December and after seeing the video on "State of Charge", I decided to see if it worked.
Our trucks are on software update 10.1.1

at 26% SOC, I was pulling 500amps and 170kW on a V3 supercharger. :muscle:
