Guessing yes, though, interestingly, I have what may or may not be the same issue (see above - I was able to add locations in Sync though not FordPass while others can't add them at all) after manually applying all available module updates (except BCM) to my truck about a month ago via FDRS. I am not in EA.
I had the dreaded wrench recently.

From my post in that thread(12/21/2024):

Picked up my truck this morning. It was ready late yesterday afternoon. I OCR’d this from the service invoice in case it helps. Looks like 5 modules updated.
_______
13385 MT242404 3.10 Did not verify any fault lights on at this time.

Scanned for codes and found C0604. Ran oasis and found tsb 24-2404. Reprogrammed pcm, abs, beem, sobdm and gEm2. Cleared codes. Road tested and could not get any fault lights to come back on.
_______

I mention it here because that service wiped my locations and charge settings. Had no issue rebuilding after charging at home.

This doesn't work. I can't add a location on the Sync screen or FordPass. I can see that I've charged in FordPass but neither the truck nor the app recognizes charging sessions for the purposes of setting a charge limit or preferred charge times. Maybe it will just fix itself like @tls but it hasn't yet.
Same here...

On the bright side, my charge overnite finally showed up in Charge History. Still not able to add my location in truck or on the app.

I think this is semi-common. The not being able to readd charging locations is the new issue. Hopefully someone at Ford returns to the office this morning and realized they left the Locations switch off over the weekend.

Almost certainly the powertrain/limited power error that stresses everyone out but 99 percent of the time a restart of the system clears it out and you’re fine.
Yep, I had that alert. It happened once on 12/27 and never happened again. It all makes sense now.

It's not you... I'm in the same club. Only in a nice warm climate. Update won't take. HVB at 55? Nope. 95? Nope. LVB at 81? Nope. LVB at 99? Nope.
Update haas failed a few more times and LVB was definitely above 80%. On Sunday morning I got a slightly different message on screen and in Ford Pass app.

I had this issue too; the service light came on literally the night I bought it. It was in the shop for half a month before I could actually drive it lol. I highly recommend that if you get this error that you bring it to the dealership and have them look at it because they found other issues in the meantime while they tried to figure out what the powertrain issue was.

There must have been too many people complaining about issues with it.
Complaining makes it sound like they were doing something wrong making Ford aware and thus stopping and fixing it isn't the right thing to do

I didn't mean it like that. Let me rephrase.

Ford must have received reports from beta testers of problems with the update and will rescind said update until these concerns are taken care of.
