Ford, if your listening, I have cash in my pocket and its burning a big ol' hole. I know the newer MME's were offered a performance upgrade via OTA. Apparently the Lightning electric motors were used, allowing the flexibility for more power. Now that BC1.4 is out the way, you can work on this and add Supercharger stations in our native nav.

Edit: Add a real dog mode!

Haha. Ya I know. I mean a real dog mode lol
I agree.
My windows are tinted enough, and my dog is small enough, that I often forget to use the ghetto MS Paint version, but it would be nice for a simple one button function. Never know when someone is going to think the AC isn't on and call the cops.

Yea it sucks we have to take so many steps. Turn off shut down timer, set the temp, finger MS paint like a child saying “our dog is fine and the AC is on”

Ford did send a survey a while back about paying xxx to unlock additional performance. So they are noodling on the idea.

Sorry, I am stuck on "BC 1.4 out of the way"...is it really? I and a lot of other don't have it...

Dog mode, camping mode, "ProPower Mode" (power without truck on), built in dashcam using the cameras, etc. bring it on! But please don't encourage them to charge more for these "standard on other EV's software basics". Giving barely older trucks the new features builds brand loyalty and lots of positive emotions about the truck/Ford vs. brand anger/frustration pushing someone to another brand on the next truck/vehicle.

AFAIK, all model years have reported receiving BC1.4 already, so its only a matter of time until you receive it. Have you tried praying to the almighty FoMoCo servers to increase your chances?

I disagree with paying for OTA updates, with the exception of the performance upgrade. Your basically shaving off half a second for (hopefully) under $500-$700 which is what you would spend in an ICE car if you modded it. Thats fair game.

That dashcam thing aint gonna happen. Its been discussed already, we lack the hardware to do so. Propower, camping and dog mode are all fairly within reach of the software development team. I hope to see these feature rollout soon, including charge current display on the drivers dash and adding Superchargers to the native nav.

Oh I know. But thread did say “wishlist” so I wished for things other EVs in our cost profile have. 😎

My lightning is still my fav vehicle I ever had! Will resume rituals to the ota deities for BC 1.4 As you suggest.

I don't know, I think I disagree with disagreeing to pay for OTAs.
If it's for already announced features or bug fixes, then yes, it should absolutley be free / included in the purchase of the vehicle.

But, if you look at OTAs as software, which it is, I don't know anyone that offers continous improvements and feature updates for free for all eternity, you eiter subscribe to the software or pay for maintenance / upgrades.

So if it's between buying a whole new vehicle because Ford says, nope, we're not going to add those features to vehicles older than 2 years (even though the hardware could handle it) and paying, say $500, to get onto the latest and greatest software track, I'd pay for the upgrade if the features were worth it.

Pro power mode already exists. There is a toggle In pro power you have to toggle that allows pro power to work with truck off. It resets every time you turn truck back on. I used it on my last power outage. You have to make sure whatever your using has more than 90wats or it turns off.

ProPower with truck off was one of the 2024 adds. The 22-23’s don’t have it unfortunately.
