Had this happen when going to lunch today. Made 1 stop on the way back and when I restarted the truck it was 100% then dropped back to 56%

Makes sense that this would happen today when I’m heading out to go camping Saturday.

Go to the "Power Distribution" screen on myview on the gauge cluster. You'll likely see that the front motor is not getting power. I've seen a lot of threads where this resolves itself in a few power cycles. 🤞 for you and your trip.

F that. Pitch a fit. Take it to a dealer and get a F150 loaner.

The timing sucks, but why tolerate it?

Did you receive an OTA update in the last 12 hours or so? This happened to me after the Tesla update and I did what @jimfigler suggested and it fixed it. Hasn't happened to me since.

It installed the Supercharger update this morning. Just got back in it to leave work and same thing. Started at 100 rolled out of my parking spot and went back down to 56.

If you look at the screen with the power distribution to the motors, I can almost guarantee you that one of the motors is receiving no power. It has happened to me once in 52k miles. Restarting the truck fixed it. Could be anything from a software glitch to a serious hardware thing.

After stopping at the grocery store for 20 minutes, it stopped doing it. That was after 4 times of trying to “restart” by getting in and out closing the door and what not.
Let’s hope it’s not a sign of stuff to come.

I’ve had this happen at least 3 times in 2 years, unfortunately it will probably happen again

Front motor was indeed not receiving any power/regen.

had it happen to me as well when I turned on BC on the freeway during a rainy day. However, unlike your situation mine came with like 5 warning alerts and disabled BC/Lane keep/1 pedal driving ETC. A restart did fix it.

That is usually key and the difference maker. If front motor isn't getting power, a restart or two will usually clear it and Ford has no idea why this happens, but won't typically strand you.

If the % drops and you get a few error codes, kiss it goodbye for several weeks you've got a bad battery module. Seems less likely since yours is a '23. No rhyme or reason, but more of the bad modules have been in '22's.
