Rear Bumper Spare Tire Key Lock Missing

I noticed that I do not have a spare tire keyed lock on my 2023 F150 Lariat was that an other cost Saving cut? or do I need to have the dealer install it ??

If I recall correctly, there was a point when Ford stopped putting them on. I don’t know if temporary or permanent change.

My June / August build Lariat (delivered Oct 13) is also missing the spare tire lock, just the snap cover, no guts.

I protested to my dealer, stating the fact that it was on my window sticker as part of my package. After talking to a couple managers at my dealer, they ordered the lock, keyed it with my key and installed it free of charge, about a week later.

It does not come with the 2023 model year. My 2023 from Dec 22 doesn't have it.

Ditto. I discovered it was missing and talked to service advisor. Without any arguments, he ordered it and it was replaced a week later.

I don’t mind that I didn’t get the lock. After 5 years of driving on gravel roads and winter salt, it’s going to be impossible to unlock anyway. Plus, catalytic converters are much more attractive to thieves then spare tires.
