Reverse or Backup Sound Gone

I just noticed a few weeks ago that I no longer hear the "reverse beep/pulsing sound" I always used to hear. I have no idea when it stopped working but it has. Personally, I disliked that loud noise that drew everyone's attention withing 75 yards of the vehicle that I was backing up. But if it helps make sure I never backup over anyone I get why F150's across the line have it.

I searched this forum for a while and found no threads on this (I must disclose this to avoid the trolls who love to berate people for not searching before they post and never provide you the link you should have found when searching that they obviously found when searching prior to berating the OP).

Is this an issue anyone has seen before? I intend to point it out to the dealer when I take the truck in for the 24B56 CSP.

If I recall, you can change the volume INSIDE the cab of truck, but it probably is still playing outside the truck.

I had that happen for a few days following an OTA few months ago. It came back after few days

Thanks. I’ll wait and see. I’ve been getting OTA‘s pretty frequently over the past month or two as I think Ford is catching up the 2023s with everybody else.

If it comes back or anyone else wants to turn it off just use forscan. It’s easy and the software is free just need an old windows laptop and then an adapter plus there’s lots of other stuff you can do with it.

What settings have you seen to disable this in ForScan? I haven’t seen anything about it.

I don't believe this is possible through forscan. I had to install a bypass to disable mine

It’s totally possible. I’ve done it on several trucks. It’s on the forscan spreadsheet.
