See Pro Power Usage Outside of Truck?

Hey All,

Is there a way to view the Pro Power usage from outside of the truck? I thought this used to be in the app but maybe I am misremembering.

I've also got fordpass-ha on HomeAssistant setup, but don't see any metrics that line up with reported usage in the cab. Thanks!

It used to be in the old version of the app. Along several other useful features. The blue haired college intern Ford apparently uses for applications and firmware nixed it from the new version of the app. The masses have been complaining about it to Ford ever since. No word on them ever bringing it back.

It is unfortunately not data / control available through the API, so Home Assistant cannot do it. It wasn't there even before with the old version of the app. I wish. I'd have automated it for when I'm using Pro Power to power up the house.

I use Home Assistant to remote start the truck instead of the Ford Pass app. Much faster. Also use it to nag me if I forget to plug the charger in with checks at 8pm and 10pm.

You can see your SOC in FordPass so you can see how much juice you are losing. But if you need more accuracy, you can use an ODBII reader and car scanner APP to see exact draw from your battery and the history of consumption.

You get current, Voltage and power in different locations in the truck. And you can get a graph for any sensor you are looking at over time.

Here are couple of pages I have setup for different purposes but there is a lot more info depending on what you want to monitor.

This is my default screen. As you can see, there is two decimal point for juice coming out of the battery live (in this case going in).

I believe so. ProPower and Zone Lighting both I believe only worked within range now that you mention it.

The app used to and it worked wonderfully to see what loads we could add when powering my parents house with my ‘23 PB for 2 days during an ice storm in February 2023. The 7.2 kW generator was plenty and if my memory serves the engine only kicked on for 3-5 minutes an hour to charge the battery.

Yeah, there lock screen, control center and home screen widgets that either show charge or allow lock/unlocking. Kinda barebones but nice to have, but not at the expense of lost features

Correct we still have no widgets, but if you have a fancy smartwatch like Samsung WATCH4 there are some cool integrations for it.
