Starting Truck in Ford Pass App changes Profile to Guest

Yes, it definitely takes Ford a while. Although not fast, they are making improvements. The profile thing is an important one since OPD makes a significant difference in how the truck operates and is hence a safety issue. It should be moved up on the priority. Profiles are linked to keys so this one is a no-brainer.

The profiles acted the same way on my 2021 ICE truck. I doubt we see this resolved.

The profile is set by the key that unlocks the doors. I'm guessing those whose vehicles go into guest mode also keep said vehicles in garages with doors unlocked? I've never experienced this behavior. My truck lives outside.

I unlock with my hand on the door handle. And even if my phone is connected with Bluetooth, it's always on the guest profile when I remote start.

But I've been dealing with this almost 3 years. I've just got in the habit of hitting my memory setting on the door. It's second nature now.

I've never seen the Guest Profile. However, since it seems there is one, can the settings for it not be controlled? Just make it a duplicate of your driving profile. When you remote start and get in, even with Guest, it'll match yours.

If you have a second FOB that's not currently profiled in the truck, use it to access and start the truck, make a few key adjustments in settings while the generic / guest profile is active.

I've noticed that about 50% of the time when I start the truck the profile on the screen is the "guest" profile. I fix this manually changing it on the screen (pain in the ass) or holding down the #1 button on the door (less pain but still annoying). Has anyone else experience this and do you know of a permanent fix? Maybe I need to delete and reinstall the PAAK app?

Are you doing a remote start from FordPass when this occurs? That has been an issue in the past.

It happens more often when your truck and phone are not in bluetooth range.
There is no solution other than tapping the seat memory button.
