Bummer about the 350 amps. That’s going to derate the lightning charge. It might pull 130kw on this cable.

Not terribly surprising, given the impractical nature of a liquid cooled cable. Still, half the time I charge that's all I get anyways (EA sucks in the southwest). I don't really need one, the one Tesla station I use is never full. Will be interesting if we take it to San Diego though. I suspect the stops in southern Cali might be a bit more utilized. I wonder how if we cant apply to be a tester.
@A2ZEV is there a sign up? The interview said they would be picking people outside the influencer circle.

Looks like a perfect item to be offered for rent. I assume the cost will be significant., and for me the use limited to a few trips in a year.

I plan on purchasing the NACS DC extension cable. With the 1.5m / 5ft. planned length of the cable, I'm hoping that it would allow me to back in the Lightning into a Supercharger stall. I have my doubts but maybe A2Z willing to make the cable longer just before production release.

I just think it's great that it exists. There were an awful lot of people here and on reddit saying it was a 100% impossibility that there would ever be one.

That’s still pretty close to max rate for our truck anyways though right?
I believe, For extended range most people see 165-180 for 5-10 minutes before plateauing around 140-150. That has been my experience

I’ve been able to get into the 160’s with my standard range during the initial 5-10 minutes before it starts to taper off.

I plan on picking one of these up even if I only use it 3-4 times a year. I really don't mind that it has to de-rate itself because it's just a limitation of the design, I'll just wait a few more minutes, not a big deal. The CEO said that he was pitched a liquid cooled system, but there's ZERO chance anyone would use it due to inconvenience and cost. As long as the safety sensors are all up to snuff, this will live in my frunk with my other equipment.

It's a personal pet peeve of mine that I have to front-in when parking and really prefer to back-in. Not being able to back into Supercharger spots to use the proper charge stall was really annoying. Having to explain to ignorant/entitled Tesla drivers that I: 1) Have access to the Supercharger network, and 2) Have to take up two spots due to design limitations, is doubley annoying.

First world problems, but it is what it is.
