I *think* there's a plan for something like a tesla charging "diner", or something in Santa monica...Waiting on SoCal **crickets**
Correction: ON Santa Monica Blvd, not IN.I *think* there's a plan for something like a tesla charging "diner", or something in Santa monica...

The EA Quartzsite station is indisputably the worst charging stop in North America and has been that way for awhile. I have been there when NONE - ZERO - ZIP of the dispensers worked at all, and I have NEVER been there when all of them were working. There are notorious photos on PlugShare of a line of cars out of the Love’s parking lot onto the street waiting to charge. Meanwhile, Tesla has expanded its Supercharger station multiple times and even Rivian has a station at the same exit where all the dispensers work. EA is literally the most incompetent and shameless company in America.Quartzite, AZ just opened what I believe is the largest Single supercharger station in the country with a total of 132 posts. I know we are going to get the adaptor soon but I was really thinking at least a few would have magic Dock as EA has only 3 working posts at this location and a Required stop for ALL EVs traveling from AZ to CA
I would think with there'd be some in the area by now.Waiting on SoCal **crickets**
On my second charge of the day at the Mackinaw City location. Morning stop was to top off before heading to the falls and now I'm sitting here after expending 65% of the 80% I started the trip with. Pedestal 2D isn't showing up as selectable in the app even though it clearly has a dock. Nor entirety thrilled with 49 cents per kw, but the other fast charger in town is just as high from the reviews, so better to go with reliability.Let us know how it goes
This is the only location that's giving me anxiety for a roadtrip between Phoenix and LA. That said, by charging in Barstow (CA) and Goodyear (AZ), I avoid Quartzsite.
Sad pro tip. Head out early. Like be in n Quartzite around 7-9am. You best chance to not get stuck. Currently there are 3 of the 4 stalls working. Stall 2 and 4 (both 150 posts) are the fastest. The 350 post is de-rated.This is the only location that's giving me anxiety for a roadtrip between Phoenix and LA. Especially during the holidays.
Just stop at the EA station at the Walmart in Buckeye (bad layout but at least a couple of the chargers usually work). Make sure you have an 85%-90% charge. That will get you (easily) to Blythe. The ChargePoint station at Denny's isn't real fast, but it usually works. Charge to 80% (go have coffee or something at either the Denny's, Taco Bell or Burger King). That will get you to Indio, and there are plenty of DCFCs from there to Los Angeles. This is the only location that's giving me anxiety for a roadtrip between Phoenix and LA. This is interesting as I thought all Magic Dock's were at new stations so far. Maybe some have been retrofits. Where did you find the Magic Dock was slated for the charger? I'm aware of supercharge.info, but didn't think they had that detailed information about future stations or upgrades.Lake Nona Town Center Orlando, FL is about to start their upgrade to magic dock.
Thank you for that, good clarification. These are not Superchargers, but the new WC with the dock built in. Nice upgrades to say the least.https://www.facebook.com/learnlakenona. It is on their F B page. Maybe their idea of upgrading is replacing them.
