Well never say never. Ford sent me a private offer two days ago. So with that, the $7500 ford cash, $7500 fed, $500 state and a decent MSRP decrease I just drove home with a Lariat ER from a dealer 75 miles away, $12k in equity from my Pro w/17000 miles. I had my sights on a sweeter deal but some dude from Missouri snagged it from NY a few hours ahead of me.

Sticker with destination/delivery was $79,015. With $4200 dealer markdown, $4000 private offer, $7500 Ford cash, $7500 federal point of sale, $500 NY rebate and $11000 equity the out the door price with fees, tax and plates was $46912. Ford motor credit had 3.9% for 60 months.

I hope you like it. My dealer wanted about $6k more for the Lariat, I couldn't justify that for the extras.

I went back and forth. My thought in the end was get the extras so later I don’t wish I did.

There isn't a single thing on the Lariat, I'd want, that the XLT ER doesn't have. That was my thought process.

- I have a Comma 3x, so I have no need for Blue Cruise and I would never use it.

- I hate the larger screen and lack of button climate controls.

- I don't care about a moonroof, and considering how many have leaks, Id rather not have it.

- The Lariat leather seems to have wrinkling/durability issues. If I want leather I will install Katskin which is nicer, in my opinion, than the Lariat leather.

To each their own, only matters if you are happy. Having come from a Pro I knew exactly what extras I'd use and what would just be a waste of money.

Exactly, did the same. I know some don’t like the panoramic roof and/or the big screen. I do and being able to keyless open from all door also a plus. Outside of that, can’t go wrong with any trim.
