Any else notice the response on acceleration is delayed under normal mode? Not sure if this was part of an update to maximize efficiency but I feel a solid delay in full power wh

en accelerating from a stop. Also noticed the power gauge shows a different meter which doesn't go to full? Any thoughts I don't normally go full throttle but was at the light for a good old fashioned drag launch to and old f100 that wanted to see how it goes ... Ha. Should have put in sport mode I guess.

That’s the meter that has always been there. Shows power and max power. Max power is typically 100 but you’re being limited to 51. There seems to be various reasons power is limited like low battery, low temp - I haven’t seen a definitive list/methodology of how Ford decides this.

Brother, you have one of your motors not functioning! Or it could be extremely cold. My recommendation if it isn't cold, reset the truck by turning it off and opening the drivers door for a couple minutes then try restarting the truck. Kind of like the old ctrl, alt, delete for trucks!

Yea agree the meter was always there. I have had the truck 15k miles. First I noticed it limited. It was cold this am and it was first thing in the morning but it was on the charger last night. After a trip to the depot this morning. On my way back it was back up to 100. Will see if I notice this again. Guessing battery wasnt up to temp but I hadn't thought about that to bother to check

Yeah I’ve seen this bug after maybe 1 in 20 DCFC sessions. Sometimes parking the vehicle for a few hours or cycling the ignition will fix it but most often I’ve gone for unplugging the 12V battery which immediately fixes it.

There seems to be an issue with your contactors, energy isn't being feed to one of the motors.

Next time you see this, pull up the display that shows how much energy is going to the front and rear transaxles, one of them will indicate no power in this situation, there is a problem which needs to be addressed!!!!

Mine did it yesterday. Didn't notice that I was at 56 until merging on the highway. no other warnings.
I pulled over and turned it off then opened the doors. the next two times I turned it on it acted like I was plugged in and charging. on the 3rd time after leaving it off a bit longer It started fine. I drove to the Dealership I use for service and had them read the codes. It showed a hybrid power system failure warning and a charging system error. I have a service scheduled for next week.

What version are you running? I was just updated to 4.2.1.

Mine does that occasionally. When it does, as others have said, look at the power distribution flow in the cluster.

Mine likes to think its a front wheel drive truck. Turn off the track control, find a puddle, do a burnout, and turn some heads.

Power cycling the truck has always fixed it for me... Thus far.

This happened to me as well. I noticed a performance drop, and I changed my view to show front/rear motors. Apparently my front motor was not functioning. So when I arrived at work, I turned off the truck, waited around 5 minutes, and started it back up again. I again had 100 vs 51 and I had no other issues that day.
