Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

I was showing off my Lightning at a local Earth Day & EV owners meet-up. Lots of different EVs and great conversations and a presentation by local electrical utility.
I was having a friendly conversation with a Tesla Rep when the talk turned dark and threatening. Maybe I was stupid to mention that I had an A2Z adapter while I wait until I turn even grayer for my Ford one.. He said, loudly: "If you use it, we will KNOW and we will ban your truck FOREVER!!" Wow. He claimed they would know what adapters were being used. That ended the conversation quickly. Does anyone have an opinion (or actual facts) on this? I know the Tesla NACS adapter user warning language is prescriptive but this was alarming.
Maybe he's just been instructed to scare with this, or he's just being an arrogant dip.... I mean, yes, if I damaged a Supercharger I suppose they could go after me but otherwise, ban me FOREVER? Really?

I suspect that the Tesla Supercharger Unit cares little about what adapter is used.

An empty pedestal does not make them any money. The more folks charging the better for them.

“Tesla rep” probably means minimum wage high school dropout delivery center worker who has no idea how a Supercharger works. There is nothing in the adapter or a Supercharger that can be detected. It just looks like a piece of wire to the system.

Anyone seen a teardown video to see exactly what is inside. I assume not much other than wires but I would like to see without taking mine apart.

Same...I'm concerned it's tied to the announcement around the firing of the Tesla Supercharger team...maybe that's overly pessimistic, but it's an interesting coincidence...
