IR from the BlueCruise sensors that are watching you to make sure you are watching the road. Your eye doesn't see IR, but your cam does!

Why is it watching when the truck is turned off and locked?

Good question, as far as we can tell it's random but it might activate while connecting to the modem and sending/receiving data.

At night when my truck’s plugged in, my security cameras outside record the same thing. They see in infrared at night and it’s the “eye” cameras in the dash that are flashing.

It might be the advanced security that detects motion inside the vehicle when alarm is armed.

Does it only happen when the truck is plugged in?

Not sure, I will have to watch it again tonight. Last night it was plugged in and charging. It showed up intermittently after the charge was completed.

Maybe it's a safety feature that is always on when it is plugged in, charging or not that can detect if someone is in the truck so they do not try to drive the truck since it is still plugged in. ??

Are your doors locked? Your truck does have a security system with sensors inside to detect motion. You can turn off the interior motion detection from center screen menu.

I have seen the same "flashing" thing with my truck at night with security cams.. Seems to only happen when the truck is awake or actively charging. Once charging stops and truck goes back to sleep the flashing stops.

Also, it does not flash if truck is just plugged in and waiting for the Preferred Time to arrive to start charging.

Mine flashes randomly. It happens with no interior movement or charging. Maybe Ford is watching to see if I am sleeping in the truck since the seats are truly so comfortable.
