Thank you very much! I will see if I can add an non-Ford camera to the camper. I was hoping to avoid it but prefer to have the visibility option for lane changes if the traffic is high...

I still haven’t gotten it to work: none of the dealerships have been able to help me eitherI’m hoping but not holding my breath on it. drmadeit posted on the first page of this thread that he has one of the kits and it doesn’t work. Haven’t seen anyone else get one yet, but I wouldn’t put it past Ford to mess it up and require an additional whip of some sort to the plug. Still trying to source one but everyone I’ve checked with says they’re not available yet.
I’ll take it apart end post them later todayIf you watch this guy's install videos, in the superduty there is by default a wiring harness safely tucked away near the trailer plug, above the spare tire. To put his receptacle that has the round 12 pin proprietary connector, he had to attach this dangling harness to the receptacle on the backside as in this vid (). It has way more than 2 wires.
At about 2:20 of this vid you can see his cable. It splits into the TPMS module and the camera module. Each have at least 4 wires to it. So the superduty version DEFINITELY needs all the wires populated.
If ANYONE is able to procure the '21 F150 specific TMPS+Camera we can see if they now only require 2 wires (power/ground) to operate.
If @Drmadeit got a hold of the version for superduty then I think the camera will have no where to send signals as the wires are just floating at the 12-pin round connector. I would love to see what colors the wires are in @Drmadeit's version. I think TPMS needs pins 2-5 and not sure which ones feed to the camera split.
I think that has always been the part number for the camera/TPMS package without the yaw sensor, still shows the part number with the E for the package with all 3.Just noticed on the Ford Accessory site there was a new revision to the Trailer TPMS/Camera part number. I wonder if they finally got the system revised for the 21 F150's Part number now ends with "F" instead of "E" as posted earler in this thread. New PN# is ML3Z-1A189-F

I missed that was the kit without the Yaw sensor, was hoping they finally updated the partsI think that has always been the part number for the camera/TPMS package without the yaw sensor, still shows the part number with the E for the package with all 3.

I’m not sure if I missed this or not but has anybody tried to order this part?I missed that was the kit without the Yaw sensor, was hoping they finally updated the parts
I can’t speak for everyone, but for me I am still waiting for my truck to be delivered before I can look into this any further.I’m not sure if I missed this or not but has anybody tried to order this part?
Please keep us informedI have. Y truck with both of these options. I have been emailing and calling my dealer every 10 days trying to get an answer On how to to connect these two harnesses, sounds like they should Have give me one harness with both . I have talked to the fleet manager, the service manager , and I had a conf. Call set up through the Ford app. Thet first two have been zero help. on the conf. Call, they told me thst I needed a harness thst connected the two together . I will call parts on Monday and see if there is really -e and a dash -f harness ad report back
That was my conclusion from the superduty video I linked above. The superduty kit is not compatible because we only have power/ground populated to our connectors. The new F150 system is either fully wireless modules using private BLE/15.4 CAN bus bridges, or they really really f**ked up badly and overpromised.Unfortunately, it looks like we got the short end of the stick on this. Here is the plug for the trailer mounted camera and TPMS setup on the F250 super duty equipped with the ultimate tow camera package. There are 7 wires populated on the connector, with an extra wire dangling next to it. Versus our 2 wire populated plugs. Very disappointing.
Still a sync 3.my question would be is that super duty picture with a Sync 4 or one of the older ones with a sync 3? I am curious if the newer super duty trucks with the sync 4 still have 7 wires populated or not.
