They don't expect this (it's certainly a goal). And, it's not much different from Ford as BlueCruise is also a monthly fee.They expect to get $15.5k in lifetime software fees per customer.
$10K of that 15k is just Level 3 driving, same cost as Telsa has. The $5k would be "standard" connectively fee that most cars have, and they calculate that over 10 years. That's roughly a $40/month subscription service, which is pretty pricy. However, no one knows if that $40/month is actually too pricy or not as what's included really isn't known. Are you getting free charging in that, or highly reduced? Could be reasonable for some.
