Txted my salesperson this afternoon, only 1 person got in Wave 1 for ordering. It's a small dealer and I'm slot 4 of 40 so I'm thinking I'll be Wave 2 or 3.

Ended up ordering a Lariat ER+ in Antimatter Blue and only added drop in plastic bedliner. Had reservation submitted the minute before the presentation started 5/19/21, Koons Ford in Virginia was nice enough to say I was sitting #1 at the dealer, hopefully this helps to judge your own personal reservation timestamp...

Weren’t they the dealer charging a crazy amount of ADM?

Yes and I gave up fir the night. Debating between the XLT+ and the Lariat+ for $5K. Decided that the Pro was too spartan even when compared to my Fire Dept. Interceptor Utility.

This page suggests you could get the Wave order selection and then move your order to another dealer.

What it doesn’t make clear is if you can still order in that Wave after changing dealers. It might take a few minutes but it could be a work around for those surprise high ADM dealers.

Deposits being refundable depends on the state and dealer I believe. Here in Ohio, dealers are legally required to refund security deposits on an order up until you sign for purchase/lease. Not sure if Ford has a separate program for the Lightning. Your initial reservation of $100 is fully refundable up until after you sign for an order agreement/place the order.
