American made content??? [Update: 50% U.S. manufactured]

So I’ve looked at several Lightning window stickers and I don’t see any mention of the American made content. Has anyone seen and official numbers?

The part that surprises me is the "engine", wondering what the definition is on EVs? I thought the motors were made by Magna and assumed they were non-US content. Also, thought if there was listed Korean content, it may have been LG or SKI cells for the battery pak.

85% or better.

Yes. I would pay more. Just like with all the appliances we just bought. KitchenAid. And the furniture. La-Z-Boy. And our washer and dryer. Speed Queen.

I believe the motors are produced at the Rawsonville Ford plant. Gearbox is produced at Van Dyke transmission. Every body panel is stamped at Dearborn Stamping.

Then it's our own fault when the supply base goes caput and screws us. Like the current chip shortage. Or the medical supplies during Covid.
