Wave 6 extender left out of invite yesterday

I am a wave 6 Extender from April. Just curious if any other extenders were left out yesterday. My reservation page indicates xlt but for the life of me I can't recall specifying an xlt when extending. I think I simply chose to extend. Ford lightning marketing number also indicated that the trim type didn't matter for this recent wave. Just curious to hear from other extenders of you were left out yesterday.

I believe you had to select which model you were extending. They didn't give you a general extend option. From what I read somewhere, the XLT extension orders will go out next week. If it shows XLT for yours perhaps you will get an invite next week.

To be honest I don't recall specifying a trim. I know I would have picked the pro if the choice was there to extend.

yes, if your wanted to extend into 2023 for the XLT, your email invite won't get to you until the next week or so... which means that when they originally offered you to order, and the XLT was not available for 22, you chose to extend... these new emails for extended reservation holders were certainly predicated on having 'chose' a specific PRO or XLT trim level, otherwise there would be no difference between Wave 1 and Wave 2.

I don't think this is actually the case. I know Ford said the 1st wave is for Pro extenders but I think more accurately it's for the 1st people who extended. It just so happens when they extended the only thing sold out was the Pro. If you ordered in wave 6 both the XLT and Pro were sold out. I don't think if you were in wave 6 and hit extend on XLT you'd get pushed back to the second 2023 wave but if you hit extend on Pro you got to order in this first wave.

Could be wrong, but doesn't make sense, if someone in Wave 6 extended for an Pro they get to order before someone who extended in Wave 4 for an XLT.

Keep in mind ordering before someone doesn't mean you will get delivery before them. I ordered on the first wave before majority of people and yet i still am waiting for mine to be delivered. From what i understand to make it simpler, they will get the extended pro orders this week and extended XLT orders next week.

Well, yeah we know just because you order before someone doesn't mean you'll get delivery before. The Pros being ordered now are a testament to that they aren't supposed to be delivered for over a year vs any other trim you could have in a few months.

We are talking about extended reservations being converted into orders. There's no prioritizing this year so it should be in order in which people extended.

I have doubts that there will be enough Pros to satisfy demand for those that extended their reservation.

I was surprised they offered price protection, so maybe I will be surprised on this point, too.

we may never know, but Ford's on information states that Wave 1 is for PRO extended order holders, and Wave 2 is for XLT... the only way that would happen is if you CHOSE one of those trims as an indicator of your desire to extend. If PROs were sold out first, it's certainly true that those extenders would be in Wave 1, but if you were in a later wave where the XLT was also sold out, how would Ford 'know' that you only wanted to extend for the XLT? You would have had the choice of either to extend.

It could really be that Ford is just prioritizing the 'first' set of extenders as Wave 1, and the second set(XLT now sold out), as Wave 2.

I feel like it should just be first half of extenders vs remaining extenders. I haven't heard many other people chime in though that got to extend not getting an invite yesterday.

From what I understand, all orders being taken right now from the extended reservation holders will be built in few months and delivered by the end of the year. Like i said the order number matters only to the trim. So if they took the orders for pro this week for all extenders, they will produce them in that order. Same thing for XLT orders next week. When they schedule to build XLT orders, it will be built in the order they received. From pro to XLT there is no correlation. That's why almost everyone with an XLT, lariat and platinum got their deliveries before my Pro since the scheduled to build pros after they built all the other trims first.

I do remember. I didn't extend but i saw screenshots of trims on the order page saying sold out and then there was an option to extend per trim or order lariat or platinum.

Not according to the screenshots floating around. Pros are coming Autumn of 2023. While the rest are Autumn of 2022.

O wow! Why would anyone order a pro then? I wonder if that means they won't produce any consumer pro models until then and perhaps only focus on the commercial fleet orders.
