Any recommendations for winter rims for the Lighting?

i am wondering if there are rims out there with better aero than the standard rims you find. A second set of lariat rims would be great when we get our lighting, but I am not sure those will be available. Or needed really.
Trying to decide if plain steel rims for Blizzaks are fine.

For a winter set, I'd get a set of 18" off ICE F150.

18" winter tires are plentiful, lower cost than getting a set of 20" winters.

Same here. I'll probably end up with a set of 18s or 20s with hakkas, blizzaks or Continental winter tires. Even though we don't put a lot of miles on our cars in the winter any accident that doesn't happen is priceless when loved ones are in the car. It is so much easier to change wheels in the garage than to go somewhere and have tires unmounted/mounted twice a year (x3 cars). I'd like aero wheels, but really any wheel will do and the cheaper the better. The next question with regards to wheels is what is the actual load capacity on previous generation f150 wheels and if you don't load up the truck would it be a problem (unsafe) to run lower rated wheels? Aftermarket wheels usually list a load capacity, but used Ford wheels are often available cheaper than new aftermarket and the aftermarket tend to have less offset so the tires stick out (less aero and more dirt and rocks kicked up onto the side of the truck).

The winters where Iā€™m at donā€™t normally warrant a winter tire. Iā€™m changing wheels when I get my Lightning in general though. Iā€™ll probably get a set of 3PMSF tire like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 because theyā€™re an XL tire and under 38 lbs.

Iā€™ll look for low priced 20ā€ rims come fall. I already have the winter tires from my current truck.

I guess there will be sets of stock lighting wheels n tires for sale from people upgrading. It would be cool to get a Pro and put platinum or lariot sets on.

Gotta say Iā€™m impressed itā€™s the beginning of May and you guys are already thinking about winter rims.

But until the truck is actually in my possession I am not going to do anything about the winter wheel situation other than search for what is available over and over for the next 6 months.

Do we know yet if 18" rims of a regular F150 will work on the Lariat with max Tow? There are tons of used 18" around me but no clue if they will fit/support weight of the lightning

Is no one just going to see how the stock tires do in the snow? The A/S tires have good reviews on tire rack and EVs generally have really good traction control systems ( better control vs. ICE vehicles). Our Mach-e really surprised me in how good it was in the snow with the stock tires.

My state requires traction tires on mountain passes during the winter fairly often, so we need at least one vehicle with snow tires. Has to have the mountain snow symbol. I might try some A/Ts that are snow rated.

Fair enough - that makes complete sense

Know by chance if the Pro A/T are snow rated? Canā€™t seem to find which specific tire they are shipping the final production model with.

No ICE F150 rim except the 64H 18" rims from the Heavy Duty Payload Package is rated for the weight of our trucks - the ER in particular. The HDPP rims are hard to find but cheaper than the aftermarket alternatives. There are a few aftermarket 18s from reputable brands that are rated for the weight.

New 18" lightning rims - if you can get them - go for like $900 each!
