News to me.

When I charge with my JuiceBox charger set to 48amps, I get around 11.25kW. When I set it to 32amps, it's normal level, I get 7.56kW. 11.25/7.56 -1 = 48.9% more. 48/32 - 1 = 50% more.
48x240 =11.52kw
40x240= 9.60kw
30x240= 7.20kw

So 30-40 is 33% faster.

That sucks especially if weekend is Saturday and Sunday. I assume most people want higher limits before their weekend and some have four day work week (three day weekend). Can you at least tell it what is a weekend? Like Thursday and Friday? or Thursday through Sunday?
Traditional, M-F is Weekday, sat-sun is weekend.

Thanks for your patience with my questions. Last one today; Can you keep the program and and override easily as needed? or you have to change/wipe it out every time you need to charge differently?

Well I don’t know about easy but on the FordPass app if you select “charge to 100%”, it will reset your limits to that. You would then have to go back to the FordPass app ->Vehicle -> Charging -> Charge settings -> Preferred charge times and then set it back to the percentage you want.

To deal with all this bullshit, I set reminders on my phone to change or set charge limits. It really is awful.

P.S - In the truck you will see an option saying “set one time charging limit”. This does nothing for home charging, it’s a limit for L3 DCFC charging.

I’ve been doing research on this as well as I wait for my Pro SR to be built and so far it seems like the Mustart 40amp portable charger on Amazon is the best value and most likely what I’ll go with when the time comes.

Is the Mobile Power cord worth the $500 they are now charging for MY23 orders?

For $500-$750 is there a better 3rd party charger that you'd recommend?
It says it's a 32 amp charger but in fact just a 30 amp charger. So I'd look around and compare it with other chargers.

The tesla destination adapters are not that expensive and may be worth it if one ever has to charge on that type.

I just contacted my dealer and removed the Mobile Charger from my order.

For $500 I can get 2 chargers, a 40a for my 14-50 plug at home, and a mobile one to leave in the truck.

Tesla adapters are extremely expensive though
Do you mean adapters to different plug types (14-50, for example), or do you mean adapter to go from the Tesla plug (that would go into the Tesla vehicle charging port) to J1772?

Gotcha, yeah, those are relatively expensive, especially if you get one of the mini versions or the 80A versions.

That being said, it does add extra capability than the Ford one or any of the other ones: It allows you to use Tesla destination chargers.

So, there are locations and hotels and such that may have either ONLY Tesla destination chargers OR some combination of Tesla/J1772, in which case, it either opens up new locations or makes it more likely a usable charger at a multi-port location is available to you.

So, I'll be going with the Tesla setup with the adapter for that reason, so it will be slightly faster (32A vs 30A) and give me the option to charge at Tesla destination chargers, and still be $150 cheaper ($200 for Tesla charger + $150 for 48A adapter from Lectron).

The downside is that the Tesla one, while slightly faster than the Ford one, is slower than some of the other mobile options. But I've had good luck with the Tesla mobile charger (for a Tesla) before and I think it could be nice to have the adapter, so that's my plan.

The Mustart Travelmaster looks like o good solution for people who plug into different outlets. For example; you can use the 14-50 at home and buy a 14-30 adapter to charge using a dryer plug.
