There are cheaper options available, search Amazon for EVSE Level 2 to get some ideas. You can also check YouTube for reviews (highly recommend State of Charge/Tom Moloughney).

I believe that they started offering an EVSE as an option, so no way to charge it unless you have something already. As mentioned, there are better options for less money. As near as I can tell, the $500 option is 32 amp. The Lightning can charge on Level II up to 80 amps. I would purchase something as powerful as your connection can handle to future proof your charging. I am still using a 32 amp from 10 years ago.

Definitely not worth it. If you need a mobile EVSE, which is probably a good idea to have one in the truck, just buy a better & cheaper one online.

Definitely not worth it. For true mobility the Tesla is hard to beat. For garage mounting many options as others have noted.

That price is for reference, plus, $350 for whole setup and you can charge any EV?
Does the $200 Tesla charger go up to 48a?

I just spent $340 and now have a portable charger that goes to 40a.

32A.

But, does your $340 charger accept 120V L1? L1 is still useful when you stay in vacation house without L2.
Yes it does. It is adjustable and can go down to 10a.
