I think the recommended pressure for the all seasons is 42psi so I won't go lower than that. Just wonder how a 36psi all TERRAIN tire is going to feel vs the all season.

PS-- I live in upstate NY so the roads are crap. Also I'm not opposed to better traction tires esp in the snow.
Also in upstate NY and had similar thoughts, however the stock AT tires are actually rated worse in the snow than the all seasons.

For what its worth, I just got assigned to 12/19 this past Thursday and my VIN begins with 1FT6.
That's good to see, I looked at a few 10/31 builds they also have 1FT6, while Lariat-ER's listed for build 10/24 had 1FTV

Western MA here waiting on a Lariat ER also. I received a 12/12 build date and my VIN starts with 1FT6 also. Does that mean I'm getting the all seasons?

Which trim? If it is a platinum then that would be a 1FT6 by default.

Yes, it would seem that you’re getting the All Seasons. Unless Ford has made some other changes to keep the heavier GVWR.

Is there a rubber shortage too? I wanted all season tires for better range in south Texas.

My build is scheduled for 11/21.

The door placard has its recommendations for a lot of reasons but doesn't make it an optimal recommendation. The tire sidewall pressures are maximum pressures and also aren't optimal for everyday driving. If I don't drop my rears a few psi below my fronts my kidneys rattle against my rear teeth.

It's safe, and often preferred, to run a different pressure than what's listed on either of those places--those pressures aren't calibrated to your specific setup. If you're running an empty truck you might find it more comfortable (and possibly safe) to change the pressures from what's listed.

If you want to find the optimal tire patch contact you'll need to try some old-school chalk method or a new-school infrared temp method. Optimal tire patch contact may or may not align with optimal comfort, though. It'll be difficult to change the feel via suspension because the truck is so heavy--it already feels like a huge ocean liner--but you can gain some softness by buying tires with taller sidewalls. Just be aware it'll also change the rest of the driving profile, for example, when you're cornering.

I read through the thread that Rick just posted, and someone said the Hancook AT tires are actually rated worse for snow!

I guess there are a lot of opinions. I live in the NE and we encounter a variety of road conditions, including snow and ice. I had the Hankook Dynapro AT 2 on my ICE Platinum and they were very good tires in my opinion.

I have the All Terrain on my lightning that I’ve had since middle of June. I would say there is minimal impact to the range as they are not a very “aggressive” all terrain tire. Many times during the summer my daily commute of about 20 miles driving 55 mph to work, my truck would get 2.8 mi/kwh or better efficiency. I’ve also seen similar range estimates with my truck as what many YouTubers testing the all season tires are getting. My guess is less than a 5% difference in range from all season to all terrain.
