Ford Sunroofs Suck - Seal Issue Discovered

I always try to buy Fords without sunroofs due to all the leaking horror stories. Unfortunately this was not possible on the Lightning Lariat. Decided to check out the sunroof today for the first time and left rear corner seal has issues. Argh.

What do you mean it's not possible on the Lightning Lariat? I've got a Lariat being built now w/o a sunroof because it cost additional to add and I'm not really a fan of them anyway. I think the Platinum comes with them standard though, right?

If you have a 511A ER Lariat, you have a panoramic roof.

My moonroof/sunroof seal looks just like the pic you have posted in several spots all around the seal. Does your sunroof leaked? I tested mine during several washes and it does not leak inside. Have you test your sunroof while washing the truck?

Canadian spec trucks configured differently from US spec trucks. According to the build and price on ford.ca, they have a choice of the 510A or 511A equipment group with the extended range battery.

No mine does not leak (yet). Amazing how poor the installations are. Is this normal or acceptable? How does it get past QC?

Looks like the OP is from TX. I guess Canada plays by different rules. Hard enough for me to keep track of the options available in the States
