Tasca Parts order has shipped, so I should have the bed lights in hand tomorrow. Guess I should look into getting FORScan set up.

Finished the install on my Pro today. Install was super simple, 15 minutes maybe.

Works as described by original poster.

Also works with Zone Lighting! No additional settings were needed.

Just got mine finished after FORScan support sent over the new file last night; you got the glare free working using the exact list on the first page of that FORScan thread, right? Just wanted to check in case our settings differed from the Lariat/Platnium.

I can’t seem to get mine working. Wondering if there’s another setting I need to change. My pro does not have ZL or tow tech.
Got everything installed and changed the parameters the OP suggested but I got nothing.
Thoughts?

Did you write the new values and cycle power to your truck?

Wrote the values. Was promoted to power cycle, did, and nothing. Went back and check the plug connections again just to be sure I hadn’t done something dumb. All good. When I got back in to the module the values are updated. I scrolled the list a bit to see if any other value jumped out at me. Nothing obvious (to me).

I just finished the forscan enabling and everything seems to be working. The lights on the back/top of the cab and running boards are also controlled by the switch, which is pretty nifty.

One question: The lights on the cab turn on automatically when I unlock the truck where as the bed lights I just installed do not. Is there a way of modifying anything in forscan so that the newly installed bed lights also turn on when I unlock the vehicle?

Did anyone else notice the two dummy capped connectors up in that same area but in the middle behind the hitch? Wonder what they are for.

So, I have a critical question here. I just got my Line-X done, and they sprayed over my light openings! (Is this really standard operating procedure for Line-X?)

I wasn't planning on adding lights right now, but I liked having the option. Anyone know how big a deal it is to cut these back out later?

Razorblade around all the edges, then pry out with a screwdriver or trim tool. I wouldn't worry about it until you want to add Bed Lights.

Or take it back to them and make them deal with it.

That's going to be tricky. The dummy covers are the same size as the switch and lights. Meaning, you've got to cut them out of the bed liner perfectly. Also, I used trim tools to remove the light dummy and it took a little bit of effort. It's got 6 tabs that hold it in. The button dummy I pushed out by reaching around to the back side.
I would def take my time cutting around those staying as absolutely close to the dummy's as you possibly can.

The lights seem to overlap slightly more the covers. But even without a bed coating they were a pain to pry out. I had a couple pry marks that lights covered up.
