Hopefully this alleviates some of the guessing about whether or not 12v SOC is inhibiting downloaded OTA’s. I pulled several forum members vins over the weekend(with their permission). In every instance the inhibiting condition was 12v SOC.

If we were to measure the voltage on the 12v, where should it be to indicate it's high enough SOC? When I had my first fail last week, I think I measured it at 12.25v. After doing a BMS reset and driving it for 20min it did the update that night. I haven't measured it yet for tonight's update.

Most 12 v batteries should measure 12.6 volts fully charged. They have 6 cells that each are capable of 2.1 volts. Open voltage though is not the only input to battery SOC. The sensor on your negative post sends data to the responsible module(usually the BCM) and extrapolates a state of charge. So.. it is possible to have a fully charged(12.6 volts) battery not be considered to have 100% capacity.
With all that said I’d put an AGM compatible charger on it and have it fully charged since the truck doesn’t seem capable.

Something is not right here. I got “4.1.2.1” on Feb 17 with the exact same text? 🤔

I have the same text and it never goes away. I recently got an email from Ford saying an update is coming, but so far no update.

I just connected charger and went to change charge setting, noticed there was an update. To be honest the major/minor version number threw me and I had to do a double take. Have not investigated yet.

Mine just updated from 4.1.1 straight to 4.2.1 without ever getting the 4.12 and 4.13 enhancements to the UI. My dial still only adjusts the radio and I don’t have any streaming icons under entertainment

Mine updated this morning.
Didn't know until I checked the Ford Pass app.

Just received the update after a drive. I was up to date through 4.1.3. Pretty predictable. Drive, install a few minutes later or on occasion even while driving.

The DTE update is still the only one that took me 18 to 20 tries as it does most everyone else.

Folks it's a GWM (gateway) update. No other modules...just the gateway.

For the uninitiated like me, what does the GWM do? It sounds like it’s mostly a CAN BUS firewall equivalent thing and shouldn’t really have any user visible impact. Perhaps it allows other modules to be updated? Or it could be a totally not OTA related at all and just some fix Ford wanted all cars to have?

Aaannnnd YouTube is missing now.
Perhaps Ford Streaming expired? Mine refused to show up until I subscribed so I'm guessing the opposite is also true.
