Emporia Bi-Directional EVSE price...leaked?

Was looking to see if there was any new updates and came across this site, says $1950. @EmporiaEnergy is this a leak? A place holder? Genuinely for sale/pre-order? I'm interested at that price. One confusing thing is the spec sheet. I can't make sense of the input/output, it seems to imply that it charges via DC?

Maybe the inverter works both ways. It will be interesting how they trick the vehicle into closing the high voltage contacts to offload DC.

At the very least, it will need an automatic transfer switch.

It does give the vibe that it's charging the vehicle in DC....

It won't. It is still a level 2 charger, not a DC Fast Charger.
The DC power travels backwards from the vehicle batteries towards an inverter in the house for when the power goes out.
I'm sure State of Charge will do a YouTube video review on this system (if he hasn't already). Can't wait!

The listed charger price is irrelevant until we know how complicated (and ballpark cost) the back end electrical is for the V2H.

So happy to have you guys here and keeping us straight. Tell your development team we are eagerly anticipating this! I'd also like to offer my home/truck as a beta tester if that becomes an option. I want to be able to fully utilize my solar to power home and put excess into the truck while off grid. Fingers crossed we can make it happen!
