I have a ford charger installed at my house now. The electrician just finished up. All I need is the truck

I have a question about this - am I supposed to get the charger before the truck arrives? I haven't heard anything about this from Ford.

Generally NO, they are only sent in advance when you coordinate with SunRun to have "THEM" do the basic install or in conjunction with a HIS install.

Otherwise, it will ship 7-14 days after you take delivery of your truck.

I never posted that my truck was marked shipped on 10/11. But I just received notice that my lightning has arrived. The tracker updated this morning to 10/21-11/04. So it is a nice surprise.

Ordered a ford 48Amp charge station and wanted it before the truck arrived, and had it installed. Maybe a good thing the truck took so long ? The mobile charger is coming with the truck but I had to pay for that as well. I have a XLT SR built ready to ship so the pro was not included fro what I understand.

I just got off the phone with the Ford CRC and they have moved the date again to oct 25 to ship

I received the official word from my salesperson yesterday: my truck is at the dealership. I will be looking at it tomorrow (Saturday the 21st). Woot!

I am in the same boat and have been since July. I might shortly have two FCSPs in the house. I might have to sell one as I have no idea where I would need to install a second. (I ordered a Lariat with the standard range battery, and bought the charge station and had it installed in anticipation of the new truck, but changed my mind after the re-pricing and pulled the trigger on an extended range 511A Lariat today. I think that might come with a FCSP also. If it does I'll selling it. I don't need two of them!

Unfortunately VINView didn't show that as of yesterday. Shows a delivery date of Friday the 20th. My salesman will be in the office tomorrow and I will know more then. Thanks for the follow up!

Please let us know how your test drive goes and whether it was worth the wait. I’ve taken a couple of test drives of a Platinum and an XLT. Both definitely impressive and would have probably pulled the trigger on either, but still waiting for mine. I’m not sure if I could walk away after waiting so long…I hope your truck is perfect!

The test drive went better than expected and I am the owner of a Lightning now. It drives really nice. Super quiet, extremely powerful. I initially leased it, but realized Iose the tax credit. So I worked with the dealership before the paperwork was submitted to change to a traditional vehicle loan. My fault for not knowing this ahead of time I guess. I do not know if my truck has had CSP 23B57 applied or not. A bit irksome I suppose that this information isn't clear. Need to check into this.

Here’s an update on my xlt er order. Finally at the dealer!

I talked with my sales person and the date he now has is December 9 for delivery for a XLT truck that is built. Not sure how accurate that is? Seeing as ford just said shipping Wednesday, but the shipping date has moved every week. Getting really frustrated in now have sold my Maverick (got a great price but the timing was not great ). There are now billboards are up around town saying why pre order when you can drive a lightning off the lot. I would love to.....
