I know there has been a post about updates causing one pedal to be disengaged but mine is doing it randomly with no warning and no updates, anyone else experience this? It only happens once every few weeks but i still find that unacceptable, its flat out dangerous. I was backing out of my driveway and there was a car coming, if it wasn't for the collision avoidance it would have been an accident. Its one thing when something like my seat memory and easy entry doesn't work but something that is part of the vehicle control shouldn't change without driver input.

I know theres an icon on the dash (ill have to see if it shows on the calm screen) but an icon in the corner isn't enough, does ford have a customer feedback site? If my updates ever get caught up maybe ill use the voice recording to send a complaint next time it happens.

I would say that once every ~2 months, my profile will randomly switch to "Guest" overnight. So when I get in the truck the next morning, the Guest profile is active with no one-pedal driving. It has startled me a few times when I put the truck in reverse and it begins to move without my input.

Departure timer and remote start cause this frequently, so I always LOOK at my driver avatar if my profile picture is missing I tap the memory seat button to recall my profile, I realize this solution does not work in trucks w/o the button.

Never had 1PD go out though, might be other problems????

Interesting you mention remote start, this morning is the first time i have remote started my truck (traveling so no departure time set), now i have something to try and see if i can replicate it.

Can you do feedback on 6.1?

The problem is that when you remote start, it will default to the “Guest” profile. I make sure all of the “Guest” settings match mine.

Good to know, I use it so rarely I didn't know that, seems like it should be an easy fix for Ford.

Last night I used remote start and when I left one-pedal was off. First time that's happened to me in a long time, and I occasionally use remote start. I wish there was consistency when such a critical setting is changed.

If you don’t use PAAK, it couldn’t know which profile to choose. It should be fixable for PAAK users.

Assumption: when one pedal driving is off it's because the vehicle is being operated in "guest" mode unbeknownst the the operator. "Guest" mode is being activated by remote start.

Theory: those of you experiencing this issue park in a garage and don't lock your doors...or unlock the doors with the passcode.

I do not park in a garage and always lock the doors. I've never experienced the guest mode issue. I think this is probably because my profile is activated when I unlock the doors with my PaaK. The FOB associated with a profile will do the same thing. As will pushing the seat memory button. Using the door code WILL NOT activate your profile.

I use PAAK most of the time and occasionally need to use the Keyfob. This has never happened to me however I have checked all profiles (including Guest) and they all have one-pedal-drive activated. Perhaps Ford defaults the guest OPD to off to accommodate ICE drivers. In my case, I may have turned it on initially on delivery before I set up the profiles since I was used to it on my wife's MME.

I have a similar issue (although not as serious) with the auto-folding mirrors. All profiles have this turned off but sometimes the truck folds them anyway when we switch among drivers. My son drove yesterday with the Keyfob and it folded them. In our climate, it is necessary to turn off this function this time of year or risk breaking something with the rain-freeze-thaw cycles we have here.

Recommendation for Ford: Auto-Folding mirrors should have a global "Off" setting that crosses all profiles. When On, it can follow the profile settings per user similar to the current deployment, however, when OFF, the mirrors should not auto-fold in any profile regardless of setting. This will reduce the number of warranty claims due to breakage by ice.

This is why I turn auto update off on all my electronics. Do you need to create an account to use the built in data plan? If so then I'm giving serious thought to not using that "feature" (read opportunity for data collection).

I wonder if you "root" the truck OS? :)
