Have you monitored LVB SOC change with the truck "off" and while charging on the FCSP? It may be that turning the truck "on" engages the HVB contactor and that is what initiates charging of the LVB, whether the truck is on the charger or not.
See this post by @TaxmanHog. He says that when the truck is charging, the HVB contactors form a circuit to the FCSP. Only when the truck is not charging will the HVB contactors form a circuit to the LVB and charge it. My truck HVB was at 63% SOC and not charging since I'd previously reduced its scheduled charging limit to 50% SOC.

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...ota-6-2-0-small-adjustments.17006/post-343064

So, yes, my conclusion would be even with the truck in auxiliary mode and not fully on, the HVB is in contact with the LVB and charging it, which I confirmed by reading the LVB voltage (14.45) with Car Scanner via my Veepeak OBDII device and also seeing the LVB SOC continually increasing (particularly slowly after it passes 80% SOC).

My statement that the truck was not fully "on" even when it was plugged into my FCSP and NOT charging is based on getting an advisory message on the dash after pushing the Power button and stepping on the brake that if I want to power the truck up fully, I need to unplug the FCSP charger from the truck. And my normal start-up screen is the Vehicle Information/Tire Pressure screen. At one point during my 8-hour Power Up v6.3 download and install, I unplugged the truck, powered it on, and got the tire pressure screen that I wasn't getting with the truck plugged into the FCSP. During the download/install process, thinking maybe the update might be complete and my Sync screen just hadn't refreshed, I also turned the truck completely "off," left it off for a while (~10 min) a time or two, before powering it back on. So, based on this single set of anecdotal observations, once an OTA update starts, the continuation of the download seems fairly robust (as long as you (barely!) have a cell connection). During the download and install the Sync screen stayed lit (and I had the Auto Power OFF timer turned off). I realized the install was complete when I checked the truck and found the Sync screen off. Powering it on, I got a notice that the truck had been powered off to save battery - so perhaps there is a download timer/switch independent of the Auto Power Off timer used for normal driving that at least kicks in after a download is complete to assure the vehicle is shut down if not being driven.

I haven't tried just turning the truck on cleanly to auxiliary power (not pressing the brake pedal). I'll try that for the next update and also try unplugging the truck and just going with the auxiliary power mode. I vaguely recall some update advice saying you don't get OTA updates if your foot is resting on the brake pedal, so that might be a reason I didn't get either 6.2 or 6.3 the first time I turned on the truck - because perhaps I sat there initially with my foot resting on the brake pedal (ICE habit).

I hope what I've described is a routinely workable method for getting updates. It means you don't have to go out for a long drive just to get an update but can get it without putting (unnecessary) miles on your truck. AIA if it's an already well-known phenomenon. A few other folks have mentioned leaving the truck on to raise the LVB above 80% SOC to get updates. The new twist here is just turning the truck "on" without driving and without having the SOC > 80% is enough to initiate the OTA updates that are delivered when the truck is running. The truck was locked up in my garage, so I didn't have to worry about anyone driving off with it.

Can anyone tell me if they changed regen again? I just drove the truck for the first time since the update and feel like they throttled back regen again.

If not with 6.3, the HVB update? Thanks.

About an hour ago, I got into my truck while parked in the driveway. I powered up the truck in Accessory mode and saw a message for a failed update. I depressed the brake and powered up to full "on", and the 6.2 update began to download immediately. It took about 40 minutes to download and install.
FYI- I do have a monitor on my LVB and I have observed it charging the LVB when the truck is not on but is plugged in and charging.

I just checked it out - you're right! The LVB is getting a charging voltage while the truck is being charged while "off." I get an LVB voltage of 14.4 with the LVB at 69% SOC. With my FCSP plugged in, the truck off but not charging, the LVB voltage reads 12.5 v or less.

With the truck unplugged and just running on auxiliary power, I got two discordant results. Earlier in the day, with the LVB SOC above 80%, with auxiliary power on, the LVB voltage read 13.3. Later in the day, when the LVB SOC had dropped to about 70%, with aux power on. ~14 v was being delivered to the LVB. Maybe aux power was trickle charging the LVB with reduced voltage when SOC was >80%??? When I turn on the vehicle with my foot on the pedal, whether plugged in or not plugged into the FCSP and with the truck not being charged, 14.35 to 14.4 v is always being delivered to the LVB.

So, it does look like the conclusion that you can't charge the LVB when the HVB is being charged isn't correct. OTH, it seems like the LVB can be charged even if the truck is just turned on to auxiliary power and is not plugged in and not being charged from the FCSP, but I'm foggy on whether I "rested" the battery long enough between taking voltage measurements and whether the LVB SOC factors into the voltage applied in charging under various conditions.

The Apple Maps is awesome. Siri tells you at what percentage you will arrive, where you need to charge. I’m looking forward to more features with Apple Maps in the Future.

If only we could get the map on the instrument cluster
@F150ROD you’re gonna have to wait at a minimum for next gen truck.
probably means ford has to pay royalty to Apple, which could be a no go. (Think of Apple Pay not being accepted at Home Depot and Walmart) There is also a resistance by car companies doing this - it means they might lose driving info they collect now.

Hello,
Is this 6.3 the update that will show the battery percentage on the dash not in calm mode?

That happened on a release back in the summer. Priority Update 22-PU0930-RBA-CHM.

We hope and wish they were cumulative, but not all are. If it doesnt' get queued up again you'll likely get it the next time that particular module gets an update. I think it was IPMA - corrected to IPC. So hope there is another IPMA update soon.

Ok thank you. Going see if dealer can update this even if I have to pay when I take it in for 20k service soon.

Pardon my ignorance since I don't drive a Lightning, but is the battery % indicator he is looking for on the center screen or on the cluster behind the steering wheel?

This is an update to the cluster behind the steering wheel. Reference the picture in the post below. The "66" is the current percentage of battery SOC (State of Charge). Previously the actual number only existed on the Calm Screen, or I think if you were navigating.

The screen in this screen shot is likely one of the most used and the percentage didn't exist there prior to this update.

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...-frunk-chime-vol-soc-digits.16050/post-325360

Edit to add more clarification - the right side of that round graphic is the SOC and the left side is the power being consumed or being returned to the battery (regen).

In that case, it is an IPC update.

@Minh IPC updates take hours. At $150+ an hour for dealership labor rates, you are better off buying a Mongoose, doing it yourself as well as any other modules you have pending updates, and future-proofing yourself for any future updates that get released.

You may have covered this in another thread/time. Quick overview - can you recount how long an update will try to install and if it fails overall, how often are updates redeployed?

An OTA will retry for a couple weeks then stop. The OTA may continue to be triggered and restart it's 2 weeks process or it can be paused and no longer retry. This may happen if issues are found and then once addressed it will be sent out again
