Jim Farley must be popping champagne right now. Tesla probably had the best shot at one upping the Lightning and came up way short on the range and price.
Agreed. CT fanboys bashed the Lightning range and price for years.

If anything Farley could give the Limited a bump in Power to match the 2.6

Ford is going to get a huge amount of orders for lightnings today. Very glad I bought my lightning a year ago and have enjoyed the heck out of it over the past 13K+ trouble free miles.

Physics is physics. GM and RAM would not meet their range target as well.

I like CT that it has 6 feet bed and overall length is 8 inches less. But for sure it has much less shoulder room and legroom.

Now the wait for 2nd gen Lightning has started.

Farley needs to push his software crew to put out a better app with better features and fix these software updates. Other than that we wait for the 2nd gen.

I think the all wheel drive model is at least competitive with a Lariat ER, not my thing, but I can see the value there. Until the Flash trim is released in 2024 that is.

I can't understand the appeal of the RWD cybertruck model at $60K. That's a base all wheel drive XLT. And with the XLT you get better 0-60, ever-so slightly worse range, and likely better towing/hauling capacity.

Would probably have to ditch the spare tire to make it fit. Not worth it.

I don’t expect that RWD Cybertruck will ever see the light of day.

Ford and Jim Farley did great. Not going to lie, the Cybertruck looked better to me today than it has in the past but I am glad I am finalizing my purchase of a ER Lariat this week.

Excited to see how Ford and Tesla compete going forward

So the launch truck is $80,000 the others are 2025 or late 2024 (if ever)
Lightning Lariat ER. Cybertruck Launch Model
580HP 600HP
330 EPA 340 estimate.
4.0 - 0-60 4.1 0-60
10000lbs towing. 110000 lbs towing.

Am I missing anything ? It looks like Tesla struggled to find parity at all.

The last thing the Lightning needs is more power IMHO. Our Lariat ER is crazy fast, especially for a truck.

Things I like in green:
Cybertruck - 11,000lbs Towing Capacity, 340mi* Est. Range, 2.6Sec† 0-60 mph
-Built For Any Planet
Durable and rugged enough to go anywhere. Tackle anything with electronically adaptive air suspension that offers 12” of travel and 17” of clearance.
-Shatter-Resistant
Armor Glass can resist the impact of a baseball at 70 mph or class 4 hail. Acoustic glass helps make the cabin as quiet as outer space.
-No Paint, No Chips
An ultra-hard stainless-steel exoskeleton helps to reduce dents, damage and long-term corrosion. Repairs are simple and quick.
-Beyond Prepared
Haul everything you need with 2,500 pounds payload and 11,000 pounds towing capacity—the equivalent of an average African elephant. The super-tough composite bed doesn’t need a liner and is big enough for 4'x8’ construction materials.
-Pack it up, Load it up, Lock it up
Pack It Up
Access a 6’x4’ bed, plus even more room in the front trunk, on the roof and in a hidden Gear Locker.
Load It Up
With a maximum payload of 2,500 pounds and 67 cubic feet of lockable storage, Cybertruck has all the capacity you need.
Lock It Up
After you load it up, lock it up for peace of mind—under the Vault bed cover. Fold up the seats in the second row for an extra 54 cubic feet of storage.
-Into the Wild
Travel up to 340 miles* on a single charge—enough to get you into the backcountry and beyond. Recover up to 136 miles of range with just 15 minutes of Supercharging.
-Power Your Site
Operate your tools or charge any EV with integrated 120V and 240V bed and cabin outlets. During a grid outage, provide up to 11.5 kW of power directly to your home to help keep the lights on.
[Max Continuous Real Power 9.6 kW, LRA Motor Start 110A, Nominal Voltage 120/240V AC
Certifications Meets US safety and EMI standards
Outlets1 4 x 120V: 2 cabin outlets (up to 20A), 2 cargo bed outlets (up to 20A)
1 x 240V: 1 cargo bed outlet (up to 40A)
1 Add additional 120V or 240V outlets with Powershare Mobile Connector and Outlet Adapters (up to 32A).]
-On Tap Dopamine
Go 0-60 mph in just 2.6 seconds† in beast mode while maintaining high-speed stability. With steer-by-wire and rear steering, you get the handling of a sports car and a better turning radius than most sedans.
-Rugged Outside, Comfortable Inside
Immerse yourself in a spacious, modern cabin packed with advanced technology features and entertainment.
-Theatre on Wheels
Massive 18.5” infinity touchscreen in the front and 9.4” touchscreen in the back with an all-new user interface.
-Sublime audio
Recording studio sound dynamics with 15 speakers, including 2 dedicated subwoofers and distributed amplifiers.
-Charge Everything
Fast-charge your phone, laptop or tools from the front seat, back seat or bed with wireless charging, 65W USB-C and 120V/240V outlets.

Built-in hospital grade HEPA filter helps provide protection from 99.97% of airborne particles.

Plenty of room for five adults, with expansive cabin views through an all-glass roof.
