What are the other 2?
One is that default infotainment prompt volume is too loud and cannot be turned down permanently, so every time you turn it down while a prompt is active, the next time goes back up to the default level. Really annoying. The other is that there is no Walk Away Lock feature on this truck. We have Walk Away Lock in our 2021 Mach-E and it is great, but when we drive the truck, we often end up forgetting to lock it, as we are so used to having relied on Walk Away Lock for the past couple of years with the Mach-E. Both of the issues I have with the truck shoukd really be relatively easy software updates to address them.

Left out a critical “r” there ;). Wasn’t expecting them to breed anyway.
Seems what ctuan13 said is exactly right. The springs are impotent ;-). ctuan13 - awesome post. I will do this today.

Search for “Walk-away lock”. I developed a work around for the iPhone and someone else did the same thing for Android.

Definitely agree with the walk-away lock. This should be standard functionality for ALL proximity key/PaaK-enabled vehicles. Not sure why Ford didn't enable this on the Lightning. Seems a rather large miss that could be fixed rather easily (ie. when the PaaK or Proximity key is out of range for 15 seconds, lock the truck.). Works like a charm on wife's Mach-E even with a little lock beep that you listen for as you walk away.

damn, here I was thinking this was about that sliding "tray" inside the console that seems to slide on every turn. I've yet to come up with my $.50 solution although I know it's out there.

Yeah, I put in a nickel on each spring four months ago, and it is still limp. I need to add a nickel to each side.
I’ll try a composite shim, although they probably cost more than 10 cents apiece.

Disregard. I just spent 15 minutes trying to get that *expletive* cover off. I’ll end up breaking it so I’ll live with this First World problem.

There is a 3D printed "stop" out there somewhere for that sliding problem. I believe it's been shared here on the forum. My search failed to find it, but @LUXMAN and @TexasGardeningGirl have printed and use them. I've not ever had too much of a problem with it.

I just saw this fix on Tom Moloughney's 15k mile review. I can't wait to try it! One of the few true annoyances I've encountered in this truck.

I caved in and just bought the tray that's being sold on Amazon that's a perfect fit. Less access to the larger area below, but lets me keep less clutter under there.

This is a much more in-depth teardown way of doing the job. I think it can be done with just the first piece of trim removal he does at 35 seconds in: then you can get the coins in there. But it let's you see what direction to pull the trim piece in, which is helpful to me. As soon as he starts describing removing the next piece with the hex heads you can already see the coins in place.

EDIT TO ADD: I was able to pry up the spring enough with just a flat head screwdriver to shove a quarter and nickel under each one, since I didn't have four nickels. Man from $0.20 to $0.60 for this solution, inflation is a killer.

I've been looking for the file that I printed for this. Can't find it at the moment, but this one is similar and I think it will work.
Real cheap to print at our local library.
