How to adjust charge rate amp draw?

Im looking to control total amperage draw.
Does anybody know how to set amperage draw in the truck and not in the charger.
You would think there would be a way to tell the battery in the truck/display to only draw these amount of amps.
Sernio # 1 WORKS PERFECT
I can plug in my portable 120v (adapter)charger to a 20amp circuit and it will only draw 12 amps
Serino 2 WORKS PERFERCT
I can plug in my portable 240v (adapter) charger to a 50amp (dryer outlet) and it will draw 32amps
This is the ISSUE
SERNIO 3
I plug in extension cord #1 (10 gauge) to a 20amp 120volt (A.phase) dedicated outlet
I plug in extension cord #2 (10 gauge) to a 20amp 120volt (B phase)dedicated outlet
Than get a pigtail to make the 240 volts ,plug into the portable charger at 240 volt.
HERE IT COMES READY!
The charger know pulls 32amps on each leg of my 20amp 120v A and B phase ( THE BREAKER TRIPS)THANK GOD)) extention cords.
There should a way to tell the truck to only pull 16amps at 240 volts from the charger so the house breakers don't over load.
I'm a union election so I do have half a clue what I'm taking about,some times!
Thank you and please help,I plan on doing a lot of camping and charging at campgrounds this summer.
As stated earlier in this thread, there is no way to control the charge rate in the truck. Your best bet is to buy a mobile EVSE with adjustability.

There is one hack you can do with the Ford mobile charger. Make up a pigtail with your choice of 240V plugs to match the receptacle you want to use, and put a NEMA 5-15R on the other end. When you plug the Ford Mobile into this with its 120V dongle, it will charge at 12A/ 240V, giving you double the KW of 120V charging. Just make sure you don’t use that pigtail for something else and let the magic smoke out!

ETA: In case it’s not obvious, you connect L1, L2 and ground in the 5-15. The neutral from the 240V line is not connected.

Looks like a good charger,i have a lectron portable.
Do you know if you can get 240volts and 16amps out of that charger.

I knew right away that the Pro charger was way too big for my 220V 50A garage setup. Also, holy cow the money!! Is it made out of solid gold?? I also knew I didn't want to settle for the non-adjustable 32A on the mobile unit. Ford decided that while 2022's get a free charger the 2023's with their higher prices do not.

As they did not give me a charger with my truck only market forces were left to guide me. Left to my own best behavior I did what any sensible person would do and went directly to Amazon, sorting "lowest prices first". I have really loved my adjustable "Bokman" charger, an Amazon special. I've googled Bokman, and absolutely nothing comes up, so you know that's real quality. They don't even attempt to lie about UL certification, that is not happening. I'm sure this is reverse engineered from some of the finest chargers available today. 120/240V, adjustable from 6A up to 40A. It comes with the 120V dongle and it's a great travel charger. For some reason also I liked this marketing picture of a Lexus charging on a post in the middle of desert. I'm not sure this station would show up on Fordpass, but if it did I would want to stop there!

I'm thinking the 16amps is for 120volts and 24amps will jump it to 240volts
Help!
I really don't need a 3rd charger if it won't do what I need

The Amproad I have does. And I have used it at 10A/16A/24A/40A @240V. Ironically, I've never encountered a 32A need. My Ford Mobile has never been out of its bag.

The dongle (adapter) sets the current, just like the Ford Mobile Charger. The difference is that the Ford only has 2 dongles, a 15A (actual 12) and 32 (actual 30).

Has this been tested and verified to work? I’m thinking that when I visit a friend or relative it would be nice to plug into their 240v 30 amp dryer plug with the Ford mobile charger. You’re saying the Ford mobile charger with the 120v dongle will receive 120v on both the hot and neutral without tripping?

Yes. I haven’t had the need to do it myself, but there are posts both here and on the Mach-E forum by people who have done it. Maybe one of them will chime in?

openevse.com, adjustable in 2A increments. I've been using this charger for 5.5 years. No issues and totally user-serviceable.

If you are asking me, I just dial up however many Amps I want. Options are 6, 8, 10, 16, 20, 24, 32, or 40. The included 120V dongle is just a converter that plugs into the NEMA 14-50 plug, everything else is the same. I like choices. I've charged on NEMA 14-50 220 dryer circuits, those weird 30A 120V campground circuits, an old ungrounded delta style stick welder plug, they all work fine. I've never blown a breaker at this point because I call for what I know the circuit can deliver and it seems to have a slow start ramp-up built in.

When charging a Ford, it will never charge over 12A on 120V, regardless of the EVSE or circuit you use.
That's fascinating. So the truck is able to control the amperage on 120V, like as a safety feature. But it doesn't do that on 220V it seems. No wonder it was so slow! Now I have to go do charging rate experiments.
