I ordered a 2023 Lightning Lariat sight unseen from several states away. I was super excited when I received it to see no major ding, scratches or dents from transport. It arrived about 8:30 PM and it was pouring rain and in the low 40s...so inspection wasn't as thorough as it would have been in normal conditions. The next day when I went to my garage after work to take a better look at the truck, I noticed the plastic around the windows on all 4 doors were scuffed and had swirl marks. I contacted my salesman who said...hey, that's just the cheap plastic Ford uses. It isn't super noticeable in overcast conditions, but in bright light it's very obvious. I can try to fix myself and I know it's not the end of the world...but it's just very disappointing for a vehicle with an $80k MSRP to arrive with blemishes and that to be the response I get. So, just wondering if anyone else had similar issues and if this should be a Dealer issue, Ford issue or I'm just stuck with it. I'm still super happy with the truck, just not the cosmetics of it for something I've owned less than a week and I wasn't even the cause of. Opinions?

That's from when somebody washed the car with a dirty rag. The more they washed it the worse it will be. That did not come out of the factory like that.

Every single F150 owner, ICE of Lightning, has scratched B Pillar piano black trim like yours.... no getting around it-
The good news: You can easily polish those with a good clear coat polish and random orbit polisher. Mine were trashed as well at delivery.

Mine were trashed pretty close to that as well. Pretty much all of them look like they came from the factory wiped down with a sandy beach towel.

That plastic comes on lots of Ford vehicles. Our brand new. Bronco Sport was just as bad sitting on the lot. Dealer took it to a detailer and they got it 95% back to good.

Somebody wiped yours with a dirty rag.
But, good news is, you can get them back to new looking again.

Also, no, it did not come from factory like that! A minion at a dealership “washed” it!

Can’t say why, but yes my 2022 Lariat has the same affliction. I noticed it day one.

Mine were like that at delivery. The dealer brought it back to their body shop and they polished them and they looked perfect. Eventually they will get scratched again.

That's what I'm trying to get dealer to do in my case...he's too far away, but see if he'llw work with local dealer to do so. I could do so myself, but I'm an amateur and the truck is new, so I'd rather let someone that does stuff like that every day fix it the first time.

It came from Colorado...so they also could have been brushing off snow...but either way, I agree probably human induced. Once I get it fixed, I'll probably put those protectors on someone posted about above.
